aaronptrck Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I know this is probably one of the most common questions among LEGO fans. I myself have built 10's of thousands of LEGO's over the past 7 years. From that experience I have learned the importance of keeping my bricks organized. Last night I started to build my (AMAZING) Emerald Night Train. Things were going fine until I came across this bad boy: I literally spent 20 minutes looking for the second one of these. I have my process of looking for lost bricks (look through my pie tins, check the table, check inside the instruction booklet, check my clothes, have another family member search for it) Long story short I pulled this piece from my Airport Fire Truck. Despite the fact that I looked high and low, is it possible that they missed a piece? (Has anyone had a similar experience?) Quote

I think customer service can restore the missing piece for you. Quote

Big Cam Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 As mentioned, just call Lego customer service, and they will send you the part for free. Their machines that package the Lego's aren't perfect, this comes up every now and again. Quote
Noworries Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 I had buyed 128 sets since my dark ages. I recieved 2 packs of missing part in that time: 1 6x1 Tile from 7637 and 2 Flagpoles from 7739. And i definitly can say i havent lost them myself as i empty every bag in a box and check the bags afterwards... I think its amazing that from over 47.000 pieces only 3 were missing! Quote

It's inevitable that from time to time that LEGO is going to miss a piece. The nice thing is that LEGO is exceedingly co-operative when it comes to replacing missing parts. Quote

It's been almost 20 years for me. No missing pieces yet! I always look extra hard when a piece is missing; LEGO pieces can bounce surprisingly far! Quote
