Artifex Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Hail! Back in the Classic Castle Era, there were no Hawk Visors. They were introduced a bit further, and were totally awesome, becoming an immediate success! So now that we are having this Classic Castle revamp of sorts, do you think there should be no hawk visors? I, for one, would love to have knights in armor wearing hawk visors - both Lions and Dragon Knights! TLG should really keep those, IMHO. Oh, and add a couple of horses, too - what is a knight with no horse, after all? Quote
Sandy Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Could you please provide an example of this "hawk visor"? I'm not familiar with the term at all. Do you mean the common visored helmet? Because that's still around in Kingdoms as well... Quote

blueandwhite Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 Well, this visor will be available with the advent calender. Still, I would definitely like to see this helmet in pearl dark-grey. It's a very cool piece, and while the bucket helmet is nice, I still prefer these. Still, the two helmets don't really fit together well as the bucket helmet is more like something you might see between 1200-1350, whereas the pointed visor looks like something a knight might be wearing between 1450-1550. I would actually like to see a few other helmet designs introduced such as a 15th century sallet or a bascinet. The current visored helmet we have looks like either a armet or closed helm making it far too modern when compared to the new bucket helmets. A transitional helmet would be nice. Quote

xyxstradus Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 I noticed that they changed the visor slightly for the golden knight in the 7079 Drawbridge Defense set. Kinda like the new design :P I would like to see any new colour for the visor that doesn't "fade". Quote
ProducePrincess Posted June 20, 2010 Posted June 20, 2010 I never knew they changed the visor in drawbridge defense. Does anyone have comparison pictures? Quote
hewkii9 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 I was thinking you meant Jayko's visor from KK. I was all set to say no. I don't think we need any of those helmets, I'd rather have way more great helms! [And way less of those ones with the visors all the way around] Quote

The horse issue has been brought up before in another thread, but in case some Lego Designer by chance reads this..." Make Mounted Knight Set for next year, One Dragon Knight, One Lion Knight mounted on Horses with Barding.' Quote

A two knights set - I mean, MOUNTED knights, the ones WITH HORSES (heard that, TLG?) - would be great. AND hawk visors, if you'd be so kind. Thank yoou. Quote
