purple_clouds Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 This set comes with a couple sticks of dynamite. The wicks on the dynamite sticks, however, seem pretty flimsy. They are thin and flexible. It looks to me like they are just asking to get broken off by enthusiatic kids. Quote
BrickClick Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 (edited) All my dynamite sticks are like that. I think thats just the way they're supposed to be. Maybe we should have a rant club forum for all rants about quality control and other general rants because the amount of these kind of threads springing up lately is amazing. And we don't want too many clogging up the forum. Edited June 10, 2010 by BrickClick Quote

I am pretty new to legos so I was surprised when I encountered such a flimsly piece because all the other bricks from my sets seem indestructable. I'm not trying to bash Lego, I'm just puzzled by this particular piece. Quote

After all, it's not all that much thinner than the flower stem, which is made of about the same consistency of plastic and has been around since 1976. Yes, a few of my flower stems have probably been bent or broken over the years, but that's just a reason to be careful with such pieces, and I'm sure most kids would understand that. Quote
Dunjohn Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 The dynamite wick is thin and flexible but it's also very resilient to damage. It's fine. Quote
The Legonater Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Mine's flexible and hasn't been broken. I've had them for a year or so now. Don't sweat it. Quote
