Dan the Brickman Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 (edited) EDIT- Do to some mild cases of confusion, I have added this note here to inform you all what exactly this topic IS. Its quite simple really, Basically its kinda a mock support group for people who are obsessed with everything lego.(I even have the toothbrush) Part of the point of this thread is to express you crazyness over the brick, and, uh, get "help" if you need it. Not that you do... If you are still confused, sorry. Just read on and jump in. (@ Clone O'Patra - Is this more clear?) Original post below: Do you find yourself drooling at molded plastic bricks? Is M@#^B)*? a curse word to you? Do you spend your lunch money on Legos? Are you struggling to respond to this forum post because your up to your neck in brightly colored bricks? ... ...If so, you may suffer from OCLD. or, Obsessive Compulsive Lego Disorder. Not to worry, here you can find help- er, if you dont want help, you can help others... ... ...oh forget it! lets all just be OCLD!!! Edited June 6, 2010 by Dan the Brickman Quote
prateek Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Wait... What's the point of this topic again? And no, I don't have OCLD. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Yes, what exactly is the point of this thread? Please do explain, and in the future, remember to be very clear about your purpose when you start a thread. Otherwise, you run the risk of your threads being shut down because they serve no clear purpose. Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted June 6, 2010 Author Posted June 6, 2010 .... Im begining to think no-one gets my sense of humor... My sister called me this earlier, and then I thought, "hey(not the kind horses eat), why not start a "support group" on EB for people who suffer(blissfully) like me. Kinda like an AA group for lego junkies.".... You dont need to understand it. just go with it. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 You dont need to understand it. just go with it. Sorry, that's not the way we operate. Honestly, your thread idea is not a bad one, but you need to make it clear. Humor, just like sarcasm, is hard to read in words on the internet. That's not to say that you can't inject your humor at all, but you just have to make sure that your point is also very clear. Why don't you edit your first post so it's a bit clearer what you want to do, since I can tell that you certainly have a clear idea of it. Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted June 6, 2010 Author Posted June 6, 2010 ok, hopefully this makes more sense now, and we can get on to having fun! Quote
HumanPackMule Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I clearly have OCLD and my mother can attest to that. In my spare time I'll go to the Lego section of Target or Wal-Mart and organize the sets down to the smallest impulse. I've also banned any of my family members from buying products from Megabrands, for fear of fueling that monstrosity of a company. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 I've recently figured out another plague for those of us suffering from OCLD. The Builder's High. Since building the MMV, I've gotten to the point where building smaller sets won't give me the same rush as I got from building the MMV, causing me to buy sets in order to satisfy that craving for a long and challenging build. Anyone else feel the same way? Quote
The Legonater Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Humor, just like sarcasm, is hard to read in words on the internet. That's we have laughing smilies . Quote

Yes, those inferior "Me@*b#<* are not allowed in my house either! :D Quote
