Lordofdragonss Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Maybe i am not a big fan of space, but I must say that I would love this theme! The only flaw is that exploration vechicle should have some crystals/plants for better playablity. The outpost looks realy great- clear and not so complicated design, but without ugly holes! Quote
Still Raindrop Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Very nice! The designs are smooth and well-executed. The speeder and the base may be my favorites, but I'm not sure. Quote
Rayskull Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Impressive. I really like the use pieces on the fighter / dropship. I like the mothership too, but I feel that it could be named better. The base is excellent also. Inspiring me to make a better base myself. Quote
Milan Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I like that mothership. It is slick and looks like a todays fighter planes. Nice! Quote
jonwil Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Great MOCs, these ships have given me some ideas for my next spaceship :) Quote
ciano Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I want this theme. In fact, I want to create my own theme now. I think I'll go do that. Thank you. Just one thing though - it could use another color. Black, white and green would look good, I think (but those white tires are wicked). But don't let that one criticism get you down, please. This theme is amazing. Quote
thire5 Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 Thank you all for your nice comments Just one note - these white tires are not custom. They are form the Sponge Bob set Quote
LuxorV Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I saw them today on classic-space.com... I was going to enter the contest, but then other matter got in the way and so... Anyways, they look really cool, thire5. The colour scheme of white and green is sorta refreshing and the design is neat and clean. Good luck for the contest Quote
prateek Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 This theme of yours is very nice! I especially like the Speeder and the Mothership Quote
ProducePrincess Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 The white with green highlights is a very fresh colour scheme. I like the space farmer look to the vehicles and outpost. This kinda makes me wish lego made a terraforming based space theme. Quote
Randal Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 For something containing the phrase "Bio" which inherently suggests organic and alive, these MOCs appear very stark and sterile. maybe it's the white. The brick placement is fine. My issue is with the barren color scheme. When I think "bio" I think earthy colors. golds, browns, oranges, copper, green, burgundy... It would be nice to see more color injected into this, and not in so strictly a patterned way. Using the term Biotron would make me think more of the kind of coloration you see on the X-Wing, which is mottled and calico. That doesn't mean you should put in a mishmash here and there. it should look purposeful. just asymmetric. have it slightly vary from one side to the other, or from front to back. I think even just putting accents of a third color in would add greater depth, if you don't want to overdo it. some of the white could even just be broken up with some light and dark gray here and there. Anyway, that's my two cents. Quote
charlieboy Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Superb theme idea, outpost is defo my favourite Quote
squidman85 Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Great. You did great job on them, but i think there should be some accessories. Quote
Delta 38 Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 (edited) Nice. I think the minifigs could be better (of course, that'd mean they would most likely be customs, so that's okay), and there could be more green elements. I do like the colour scheme, though. EDIT: The funny thing about the price categories is that each would be moved up over here. For example, the first set would cost $10 if it were real, the second $20... fredde Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 oh my these are great! they look really clean good job! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 So simple yet so dam AWESOME - a real futuristic retro classic space theme - also so COOL ! Really great designing 'thire5' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Tony Almeida Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Nice - very fresh and futuristic colour scheme. The designs are simple yet very slick. Quote
MrTools Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Very nice, I would get these if it was an actual theme, you executed each price range very well. The outpost is definably the best out of all of them in my opinion, but they all seem to lack something that makes a Lego Space themed set a space themed set. Flick Fire Missiles! Quote
