Vincent Kessels Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 This is my new modular building based on a building at the market square of Gouda (The Netherlands). The build was inspired by a old photo in the newspaper. Click on the pictures for larger photos. Quote
prateek Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Awesome building. Those tan and grey stripes really add to the look. BTW, what are Stroopawafels? Quote
legitimatealex Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Hey I've been there before! To answer the question Stroopwafel They are FREAKING DELICIOUS. I've yet to find any outside of the Netherlands though It's really a shame. I bought a whole ton when I left and I polished them off on the plane...I'm salivating. Anyway, on to the topic at hand. Good Modular The ornaments at the top of the building and the little alleyway detail are my favorites. Quote
DutchTreat Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Great job! Lovely detail on the ornaments. The windows on the lower floor are great! Quote

There is a place downtown that sells all kinds of waffles, but it's soooo far Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Oh, it's a waffle shop - nice one 'Vincent Kessels' - lovely simple building ! Great use of grey's and tan's to break up the brown bricks, the flowers are a nice touch ! I'm a conformist! 'Vincent' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Pyramid Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 At Trader Joe's in the US, they sell mini-cookies that I believe are similar to those. They look similar. Also, awesome moc! It looks perfect and full of character. Quote
LuxorV Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I really like the clean, simple and classic look of this building, and also the little details like the floweres to add colour to the facade. Thanks for sharing it, Vincent Kessels! Quote
MetroiD Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Very clean build Vincent, I absolutely love it! The colour scheme is spot on and the flowers lend the building a real touch of European feel to it. Quote
