Captain M Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) In a nutshell; Since you're the Bionicle Moderator, would you happen to know about if there were any misprint krana? I believe I have one, I'm just not exactly sure. It's not like the regular Lego plastic, it's... squishy... compared to the rest. Hi Captain M, All normal Krana are made of a squishy rubber, which is the same as Kraata, Inika masks, Mahri tubes and a few weapons. The only common misprints were purple Krana, which come in two different shades (one is UV reflective, the other isn't). Anyway, feel free to post a topic for these kind of questions, as I'm not the only member who can help you out with Bionicle questions, and a second opinion is always good. Regards, Brickthing If this helps, it's a Tahnok Krana Vu. I mean, it's not at all like any other Krana. This one is... squishy. Rubbery. Not like plastic. Krana are meant to be rubbery. What is the texture like compared to other Krana? Texture, as in color? It's the same as any Krana. It's not the color, it's just what it's made of. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that it's not like regular Krana. Instead of being hard and rubbery, it's soft. It kind of feels like clay. In that case, it could be a misprint caused by a batch of Krana rubber mixed incorrectly, or something could've happened to the Krana in the 7 years since it was manufactured (perhaps indecent heat/sun exposure?). I've never heard of an extra rubbery Krana, and if it doesn't look different I can't help you from a picture, but you've definitely got a unique Krana. If you want to, you probably should post a topic asking about this in case somebody else has heard of this situation before. Regards, Brickthing Edited June 5, 2010 by Captain M Quote
prateek Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Hmm.... Does it feel like a Kraata? If so, I'd think it was a mismold. Quote

prateek Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 It's a bit more soft than Kraata. Wow. Then in that case, you probably have a case of a faulty piece passing through quality control. Quote
Captain M Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 Wow. Then in that case, you probably have a case of a faulty piece passing through quality control. If my Mom will let me use her camera(I don't own one, I think this one takes video), I can probably take a quick thirty second video of it. Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 If its a digital camera, even if its for video, you can still take "stills" with it, or, if you can connect it to the computer, then open up my computer and see if the camera's listed there... then if its hoocked up right, and it gives video feed back to the computer, you could try to take a screenshot (the key that says PRNTSCRN). then, after you hit prnt-scrn, open Paint, and hit ctr-v (shortcut for paste) and voila, pictue saved. ...or, if you have access to a digital video camera, you should check out some special stopmotion animation softwear, (which capture screenshots btw) and make some lego videos! ...maybe this will help on the technical end, or give you some ideas... Omicron Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 When Krana were made, some came out harder and some came out softer and more rubbery. It is just the consistency of the crap used to make them. Same goes for the dyes for Lego parts (hence why some are bit lighter in shade or darker than others). This doesn't make them any more special or amazing, in fact you just have a regular Krana. In other words, you do not have a misprint nor is it valuable. -Omi Quote
Captain M Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 In other words, you do not have a misprint nor is it valuable. Well, there goes my day. At least I now know what it is after seven years. Quote
