It looks al right I guess, not a massive fan of MMO games but I'll give it a try because its free. Edited June 2, 2010 by simonjedi Quote
Forresto Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm mad it's that BFIII has'nt been announced instead of this. "Kaaaaaaaahhhnnn!" Anyways the game looks okay to me. The graphics could be really good for an MMO but overall it's down to the gameplay, which this game seems to have it based more for a younger audience. Quote
DarthSion Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Yeah looks alright for a free game, but for what is the question, i thought SOE was only to do with ps3 and psp. Quote
Oky Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 It looks al right I guess, not a massive fan of MMO games but I'll give it a try because its free. Same here. Sounds like a CW-era, kiddie version of SW Galaxies to me, but it could be fun. I wonder how limited the free version will be though. Quote
simonjedi Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 Yeah looks alright for a free game, but for what is the question, i thought SOE was only to do with ps3 and psp. Sony Online Entertainment mainly do MMOs for the PC (SWG, Everquest ect), you're probably thinking of Sony Computer Entertainment which does jak and daxter, and LBP. Same here. Sounds like a CW-era, kiddie version of SW Galaxies to me, but it could be fun. I wonder how limited the free version will be though. I like the look of the mingames actually, the Rouge squadron/starfighter style flight sim and the tower defence. Quote
DarthSion Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I dont care what ever it is, im going to have a looksy at in, just hope its not as bad a republic heroes, i hope they going to put up more game play but LA games are notorious for never giving much away. Quote
The Legonater Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Hmm. Interesting. persoanlly I agree- I'd rather have Battlefront or X-Wing. Quote
CMP Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Looks alright, but I'll try the Old Republic first. Quote
Oky Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 (edited) The trailer is now on SW.com. I look most forward to the speederbike races, especially if they're really as fast as they're shown. Edited June 5, 2010 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote

It isn't bad although i've only been playing the minigames (all but 2 or 3 are available), not done any of the usual mmo stuff but for a free game its alright. Quote
Forresto Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Okay well since it's been on for a while let's get this thread "pumping"! First off i'm going to start off and say that this is a great little game so far. Considering that it's free is nice but my only problem is this. Playing for free feels like playing a demo. Most of the get content is only for Jedi members, and all the costumes that did'nt come for free are for members only. It's really imbalanced for paying members (5.99 US is'nt too bad for a month) so I might consider doing it for one month so I can finish some of the really fungames. Starfighter (rails space combat) and Republic Defender (3d tower game) are both really fun. Speeder race seems broken for now so no idea when they'll finish that. I'm a commander Gree sucker and want to finish those two game entirely so it may be worth it since both have 15 levels. Members get: -full games -character customiation -lightsaber customization -more costumes -better "houses" -customizable "Houses" -access to all items Free to Play get: -first couple levels of two thirds of games -Clone trooper/ jedi robes costumes -simple houses -access to basic items It seems they'll be adding more costumes and activities each week after the next actual Clone Wars episode airs.
