Artifex Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Was it really a good idea? Did it really work out well? In Brazil it didn't have any success... So that's why I ask. And also, we see lots of new Castle sets every now and then, but no more western for a looong time. So, should western be a Playmobil thing? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Artifex: there's been a lot of discussion about the Wild West theme over the years I've been a member of EB. Several months ago, Klauss-Dieter started this Wild West petition. You can see by the feedback, many fans would love to see the return of Wild West. As someone who collects Playmobil as well as LEGO, Playmobil discontinued the theme several years ago; but fortunately, they continue to offer Western sets as part of their Add-On collection. Just as LEGO fans do, Playmobil fans would love to see a collection of new sets, and find the Western collection one of their best themes made - at least I do. There is always hope, but it is true that Western movies just don't have the appeal that they once did. Jonah Hex is coming to American movie theaters, so maybe the movie will reinvigorate interest in Western movies and toys. Quote
