prateek Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Nice. The bucket design is genius, and the underside is well done too. Quote
CMP Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Awesome. Just awesome. It's not as big as any ordinary Garbage Truck, great for small towns. Quote
sok117 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I like the way you made the bucket instead of using the standard lego bucket piece, which I don't think comes in dark green. Job well done, the only things I might add are changing the colours of the mirrors, and doing all the tiling in light grey or light bley, other then that your golden. Quote
slacker int Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 very nice! It's such a clean design and very true to life! Love the colours and the details you have packed in like the spare tire, transmission, and rear stabilizers. As mentioned already, that brick built hopper/dumpster is great! Quote
Milan Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Very nice truck. I like the cab very much. Also the bucket is great! Well done! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 AWESOME just simply AWESOME 'de-marco' - especially the skip bin and loading mechanism - very clever very detailed too ! Underbody and front end work are also very good ! Great work 'de-marco' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
zeki Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Nice! One question: How is the spare tire attached? Quote
Marin Stipković Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Very nice. I really like the shape of that container. Quote
Perterz Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Looks great, realistic. Clever design, nice details to the underside aswell. Color differences are a slight bugger tho Quote
ZeeK Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 One question: How is the spare tire attached? It looks like de marco has used the good old friction to achieve the effect - it's just this part: that holds the wheel/tire in place. I've tried - it holds the whell! Quote
Perterz Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 (edited) It looks like de marco has used the good old friction to achieve the effect - it's just this part:http://www.bricklink.com/PL/3839b.gif that holds the wheel/tire in place. I've tried - it holds the whell! Yeah I've noticed it aswell when I saw the underside, that's neat! Also, what piece is the light on the roof? Is it one of the older sirenes? I used to have a fire engine and police car which had a battery box and a buttom on the top creating light and sound as a sirene. If I recall right you could place a colored shell over those lights. I had red and blue ones, is this the same part? edit: spelling.. Edited June 1, 2010 by Perterz Quote
hhcBrick Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Nice truck! I like all the detailing, like the spare tyre and steps. Quote
Zorbas Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 That's great! I really like your creation de-marco! The bucket mechanism looks very nice and pretty functional. It's about time we had one of these vehicles in our layouts as an official set. Quote
Redcross Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 Great skip truck fantastic for those clean up jobs around the town. Quote
