(In the description, when I said "I've never been so good at", I meant I had never been ANY good at building Castles)

Hey people! I created a castle a few weeks ago but never posted it. So here it is!

post-10359-1275184004.jpg

The picture is a bit small so that I could upload it. More pictures can be found in my Brickipedia Blog. Technically it is modular, but the two large sections have plates over parts so they are difficult to separate. The parts are:

* Alchemist

* King's Court

* Dwarf Smith

* Market Vendor

* Training

* "Stables"

as you asked for comments, I am more than happy to supply my perspective uopn your work.

this is slightly random, almost art nouveau in execution. i am not sure if you aim to create a surrealist creation, but this looks like Dalí dropped acid with Moore, then they discovered a cache of random Lego. which to be fair could be considered a interesting scenerio. maybe unforseen, but perhaps you have real potential to push artistic boundaries. let the artistic muse take you, throw caution to the wind, just build, and just imagine

Yea, I agree. My problem with Castle is that I only have one large castle and a few small sets (only one other building). My goal here was to create a modestly decent castle without using large parts. I love the Alchemist thing myself, but yea, it's a bit surreal because I hadn't finished organizing my LEGO and couldn't find enough of one color. Otherwise the whole thing would havebeen black.

I like it. Its creative. Maybe try building up instead of out with sets. I use to have this problem as well, where I'd extend horizontal. But now I have a decent base and build upwards ... I need to get a camera so I can post some of my creation MOC.

Keep up the great work!

Thank you! I'm glad that you like it. Yeah, I'm testing out building up with my space (to save space my "town" has switched from stairs to teleporters). Mostly "modularish" Space buildings, aka Space Police Base, a Space Zoo administration office, and a intergalactic counsel building (which is small, but it's only a start).

Very good work 'BobaFett2' with what you have on hand !

It does matter if there is a mish-mush of brick/panel colours(shades) as if anyone has watched 'Time Team' on History Channel or on the BBC for UK readers, castles do tend to have different layers of brick work, foundations, etc.,.

I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:
