metalandi Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Soa s you probably all know there were plenty of castle sets in the 80's, that could easily be attached to each other, they all featured wall segments that would fit to the bigger castles. Has anybody that owns all these sets ever tried out to make one big castle out of them? I would really love to see some pictures, if anybody ever did it. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Interesting question. I was thinking about this same thought last night as I was building the Guarded Inn. As it is my only sectional castle set, I was wondering how it was suppose to be incorporated in other LEGO Castle sets, attached to a wall. It would be neat to see how some of the other castle fans did this, and with what sets. Quote
Praetorian Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 (edited) I was also thinking about this earlier in the week and I found this: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=29141 In http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Jojo/Rit...ule/modul06.jpg I believe the sets are (clockwise from the front): 6073 Knight's Castle 6041 Armor Shop 6040 Blacksmith Shop Wall section from 6061 Siege Tower 6074/10039 Black Falcon's Fortress Wall section from 6062 Battering Ram 6067/10000 Guarded Inn Edited May 29, 2010 by Praetorian Quote
metalandi Posted May 29, 2010 Author Posted May 29, 2010 That looks pretty good. Though, i wouldn't put the falcon's fortress in there, since it belongs to a different faction, and also a drawbridge going inside doesn't make much sense. I'd attach all the lions sets and falcon's sets seperate, that way it fits better i think. Quote
boba_jagoda Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Well, I own most of them (actually all between 1984 and 1988), but I only connected the two BFF... not a big image (can't find the big original currently): Quote
cesarmarco1983 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Here's a modular castle I created using 80s set: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=415974 Quote
metalandi Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 That's fantastic! The sets fit together very well. Also it looks like your sets are in an awesome condition. Did you get all of them MISB? Quote

I own set 6067 Guarded Inn since I was a kid in the 80s and I bought the other ones either on bricklink or eBay (they were used but in good conditions). It took me 6 months (and a little money too ) to buy all of them and build the castle. I also had to modify set 6073 in order to build the lateral gate. Quote
