HumanPackMule Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 One of the biggest reasons that I came back to the Forums was that I'll be needing advice on storage and such. The reason? My family will be hosting an exchange student from Sweden for the next school year, starting in early August. He and I will be sharing a room, and as such, I will be needing to figure out how to maximize display space in accommodation for another teenager. The reason my family decided to host a family is because my mom is an American born Swede(grandparents born in Sweden), and we hope to learn a bit more about our heritage. The student will be coming on July 24th and will be attending his sophomore year while I attend my senior year. Quote
Ras 74 Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 From Sweden ayyy... How nice! Hope you will learn all about IKEA, knäckebröd, kaviar, midsummer and so on. Here is a funny clip of how foreigners think a Swedish midsummer is held. Enjoy! Quote
HumanPackMule Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 there's actually and IKEA a few hours south of me in Atlanta. My family plans on getting a few pieces of furniture from there to help accommodate the exchange student(and my Lego collection). Quote
Zorro Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Haha that sounds fun, and good for your collection too! Much fun and luck with housing your student. Quote
HumanPackMule Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 another thing that I'll be doing to prepare for when he comes is building a downstairs bathroom from scratch, which will be my big project for the summer. Quote
