J4ke Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Photoset Built for the Put your brick where your mouth is contest, 50 pieces. Speederbikes are fun, I love how this came together. Based on the old tricycle chassis, minus the handlebar bit. On another note, these are quite possibly the best pictures I've ever taken. yay for taking pictures in the daytime. ImLost Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 I really like this. I like it even more knowing you had to adhere to a piece count limit. I can never built anything with that kind of restriction! Quote
J4ke Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 Thanks. Part limitations are fun, because you have to pack everything in with few pieces. For example, I'd never have used the tricycle chassis as the starting point of the speeder if there was no limit to the number of parts. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Great MOC 'J4ke' - interesting way of using the old car doors eh ? I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Randal Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Interesting take on a Star Wars speeder bike. I can recognize elements of the movie design, but modified the way you would see a racing bike look recognizable but different from a stock model. Quote
Toa_Of_Justice Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Great work! I like the way all the parts come together around the trike chassis in this MOC. Also, the minifig you made is cool, but he looks rather uncomfortable! -Toa Of Justice Quote
J4ke Posted May 31, 2010 Author Posted May 31, 2010 Thanks again. It's not really meant to be Star Warsy, but I did take inspiration, mostly for the vanes on the front. And yes, car doors are great pieces. Quote
