Brickworld +1s?

So it's my first Brickworld. Does anyone know how the +1s work for the Brickworld registration?

Right now it doesn't look like I can sign up for workshops separate from my main registrant. I don't even know if I can be in the same workshops as my main registrant. I couldn't find anything on the website that would let me know how much autonomy I'd have. Clearly this could've all been avoided if we hadn't signed up together.
