Thrash Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 As a prequel to my "Blacktron Sacrifice" scene, I decided to make a vignette to show how they captured the Space Police. One snowy night the Blacktron Raiders dropped out of the sky above the Space Police HQ. Their mission: get some prisoners for a sacrifice! Scene with no editing: On a side note: I’ve always wanted to try a forced perspective shot, so I figured I’d give it a go. I’m not sure if I’m entirely satisfied with the result though…I think it would have worked better if I had used a larger base plate and done more of the scenery around the Space Police HQ. Jump! M:tron engineer Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Maybe you should use a bit more "scenary" (like spaceship that droped BT raider or little less blurry SP3 station), but nontheless quite effective way to achieve more "movie" look of action. Quote
Newland Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 Very cool vig! It really gives that movie-esque action sequence feel! Good Work Quote
kritikaal Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 this is quite interesting. a very enjoyable concept, with relatively good execution. i would suggest that the visor might have been closed, as it looks open in your shot. your photoshop edits do not come across as particulary clean, but that is a mere technical hitch. a very enjoyable aesthetic concept which has generally being executed to a reasonable standard. Randal Posted May 30, 2010 Posted May 30, 2010 set your focus on infinity so that everything is in focus... or just do what I do and (re)create it in LDD... >_> Quote
