I used these torsos often for romans too, although I used red legs (or blue ones with the blue armor-version, representing either the East- or WestRoman Empire) and I had stickers on the big round standard shields.

I also remember using yellow parrots-on-a-lance.

Quite nice considering that you only used standard Lego pieces! :thumbup:

Can they form a turtle? :tongue:

As a kid I always wanted to amass a roman army able to get into that very formation, but I never suceeded :cry_sad:

These are some really nice Romans, Kerntechniker! :thumbup:

I like the simple but effective design.

Of course some improvement would be needed - esp. for the helmets.

But since there are no official bricks there til now, you even can't use them. The red Classic Castle torsos fit very well.
