danim Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I have seen alot of peoples models be blogged on classic town.net and I was wondering why is it only a few models of all different types but other people who build fantastic and unusual models that do not get blogged Quote
Peppermint_M Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 We C-T bloggers post town and city related MOCs. What do you mean "why is it only a few models of all different types but other people who build fantastic and unusual models that do not get blogged" because thet seems to be somewhat a double negative. danim Posted May 24, 2010 Author Posted May 24, 2010 what I am meaning is that you only feature city and town sets but you don't feature mocs which are fantastic and done for city or town. Is it if the clastic-town bloggers personal tastes that choose what mocs to be featured Quote
Shadows Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 what I am meaning is that you only feature city and town sets but you don't feature mocs which are fantastic and done for city or town. Is it if the clastic-town bloggers personal tastes that choose what mocs to be featured Isn't any blog based on personal taste? How else would it be done, blogging by vote? What vote? Who's vote? What a silly question. The bloggers of CT or any other site, determine what they wish to feature and then do so. Are these same MOCs that you feel are being missed appearing on every other LEGO blog, but only being missed by CT? And if they were, would CT really need to feature them since they'd already been shown elsewhere? Bottom line, each blogger posts the things they find the most interesting/creative/impressive when they see them. There are no rules, no preferences given to specific builders or styles, and there is no intent to miss anything good that might be out there. If you feel that something great has been missed and is in a topic here on EB, please feel free to post in that topic and mention how much you think it should be blogged. It isn't going to influence our decisions, but it might be interesting to see what you think we're missing. Quote

Like Shadows said, post in what you think should be blogged and I am sure we'll notice and evaluate it Quote
danim Posted May 24, 2010 Author Posted May 24, 2010 ok since you were doing that thing about the small car I think that these should be blogged http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42109 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41971 also this one http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...=41731&st=0 Quote
Big Cam Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 I should probably just keep my mouth shut, but as a blogger on Classic-Pirates.com I usually only blog things that are photographed well, which most people do. The first two are alright in image quality but they look very rough. (image-wise, not the MOC) Also your first link was posted less than 24 hours ago. Bloggers sleep too, maybe no one on the blogging team has seen it yet. A blog is a picture with a brief description, it needs to grab the attention of the reader, a fuzzy or poor quality image won't do that. From what I've read on Classic-town, it seems they follow a similar standard. (I am in no way affiliated with classic-town.net, these are just my own thoughts) Quote
