VBBN Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Yes I know I'm a little late for this one, I got it about 2 weeks ago, but as always, its time for yet another catalogue review! Cover As you can see, PoP once again makes it's way to the front of a Lego catalogue. Nothing to exciting here, except there is a "find the dagger" game, and in case you can't find it, Its on the ledge right under the word "this" Inner Cover As youopen it up, you might be surprised to find that although the Bionicle Comic is gone, there is still a Comic to take it's place. We will look at that later on. Behind it is a very interesting looking PoP maze, I might try it out. Notable pages I should note that the Atlantis page is in 3-D in my issue. If you recall, in the previous magazine, some states/countries got it in 3-D,others didn't,it was completely random. So hopefully this is a bit more unified this time around. Back The top half of the back had my address info,so I left that part out. ;] Comic This is the one part of the Magazine that I am seriously confused by. In total, this "comic" has less lines than the Toy Story or Star Wars comics that are within the magazine. IMO they should make the Star Wars comics a seperate book if they insist on having a seperate comic for the book. Plus, I was utterly bored out of my mind reading this. The dialogue was WAY too cheesy, and not in a good way. On a plus side, it has nice thick pages and coloring. So thats the magazine in a nutshell, fairly boring this time around, and I feel that it keeps on getting smaller every two months. Plus the Universe comic is a horrid way to replace the bionicle comics. But anyways, thats a little overview of it for you.:] -VBBN Quote
Sisco Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Yeah, got mine the day before last, and I was pretty disappointed. Bo-ring. The comic was pretty cheesy. Thanks for the review. Quote
Spyder Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I got mine 2 weeks ago, definitely not the best magazine or comic, but at least they tried. My Atlantis comic is also in 3-D, so yes, hopefully it is the same around the world. Quote
prateek Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Hmm... I didn't get mine yet. I wonder what's taking so long. Quote
ILikePi Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Thanks for the mini review VBBN! Still waiting on mine to arrive; for some reason TLG decided to end my subscription a year early, so I had to resubscribe. If it doesn't arrive before the end of May, I'm just going to send a usual e-mail to LEGO Customer Service. They always send me a magazine whenever I tell them I didn't receive one. You should try doing the same, prateek. Quote
wmanidi Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I just got my 6 copies. I clicked the "sign up" button Six times . I was not loading... Ah! never mind. Wmanidi Quote
prateek Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 I got mine today. It's okay, but in Canada, instead of the BM ad, we get a competition at TRU for Fathers Day. You race cars down a ramp, and whoever gets the fastest time wins a Lego Fire truck set. Quote
dr_spock Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 I got mine 2 weeks ago, definitely not the best magazine or comic, but at least they tried. My Atlantis comic is also in 3-D, so yes, hopefully it is the same around the world. Mine came in 3D also. Quote
