lisqr Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) I really liked the exoforce set Aero Booster before I got it. But after getting it, the tiny robot was a disappointment. So I mod the booster part into a full mecha. Unfortunately, the booster section is too large, so this thing can't stand on its own. Some criticism is welcome. Edited May 13, 2010 by lisqr Quote
prateek Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I agree that that puny robot was a disgrace, and this is amazing!I love the feet, and the gun is cool too Quote
sok117 Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Did you by any chance get your inspiration from Gundam Seed? Your moc bears a strong resemblance to some of the mechs on that show, nevertheless, your mech is really cool, I especially like the head, and the gun, and I like how you gave him a smooth and elegant feel. Great job and I'm a conformist!. Quote

The gun and the booster is actually taken straight from the original Aero Booster set. I only add the head, the body, and the feet. Quote

3D LEGO Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 (edited) Nice job, though now it appears to be its very own mecha, mobile suit, or whatever they call them in Exo-Force. With that in mind it will definitely be needing a new name. Mabye X-35 Aero Guardian. However I could help but notice the striking resemblance to a dock-able space support system from the anime: Mobile Suit Gundam Seed. Here is the Aero Booster to compare with: The METEOR (Mobile suit Embedded Tactical EnfORcer) space pack: Okay maybe the METEOR is too extreme of an example since there are ones that are a bit smaller, like the Aerial Striker Pack from the same series. However the power of the METEOR is a 100 times that of the Aero Booster, literally. Not something for inner atmospheric fighting. But for cutting up capital ships in space and stopping barrages of ICBM sized nuclear missiles directed at unsuspecting space colonies then it is the right tool for the job. Those long cannon looking things can be either a cannon or a very long beam sabre. Edited May 14, 2010 by 3D LEGO Quote
