Last weekend there was a Lego event in my home city of Warsaw, which of course I attended.

The kids, supervised by some people in Lego t-shirts, were building a large fire truck. It had already been built when I got there on the second day:

It's not the best Lego fire truck I've seen, but at least it's big. :classic: There was also a smaller version present, which I think was there to show the builders how the big one should look like:

I also heard they were going to build a giant fireman, but I didn't stay long enough to see it.

Right next to the two trucks there were some display cases, containing both sets and MOCs. Those were my favourite part of the whole event:

Some of the elements, like the train, were moving, some had lights that could be activated by pushing a button located outside of the case (like the inside of the big city building).

There were also some tables where the kids and their parents, under proper supervision that is, could build anything they wanted. There was a System section, and a Duplo section:

There was also a shop. I expected something special, but there were really just sets you can see in a typical toy store around here. The shop was decorated with a Duplo giraffe and a giant fireman fig:

To sum things up, it was not a big event and it was more appealing for kids rather than AFOLs, but the families present there were having lots of fun, and it's always nice to see a tent full of your favourite bricks right in the centre of your town. :classic: I was glad I could be there and take some photos. See all of them in the Brickshelf folder:

That's really cool. I like the size of that truck, and those displays are cool too, although I can't help but wonder why they are letting that skyscraper burn :sceptic::tongue:
