zeki Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Today I have decided to build a layout of my town. I used all my building and most road baseplates. I lacked the space for the ships and airplanes, but it is ok as i haven't buld airport and harbour yet. Let's see the pics: Birds' eye view Firestation; it has 2 engines, van, jeep and a ladder trailer Community playgroung Model Town House and a "Blue House" Moc Zekiville Church of St. Brick (Noty yet satisfied with design, will have to be updated) MOD Apple Tree House Simply House Post Office Moc Police station Truck coming to the intersection Police car ER van and a smart All coments and criticism welcomed! Aditional photos avalible. just ask. Quote
Milan Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I like the blue house...the stairs and that small curved garden are very nice. In my neighborhood there is a house very similar to this blue house, almost identical. If you have any, it maybe look good to place a fences between houses. Quote
RoryoCox Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I like this. The church is very nice along with the houses. Maybe lacking a few accessories e.g. Trees, Bushes, Animals. It looks good so far though. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Looks great 'zeki' how about the service station - for what I can see it looks real COOL ! It's coming together well and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
zeki Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 @Milan Yes I plan to place fences, but first ihave to get some more. I will get the pictures of updated look once done. @Burman Trees and bushes are allready on the to-do list. I will also cover all the baseplates with green plates and roads with tiles to make it more realistic. @lightningtiger I've build a service station allready but somehow it didn't fit into the layout. It seemed odd and out of place. Quote
prateek Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 That's awesome! I love that blue house, and the gas station is really cool! Quote
Zorbas Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Very nice layout zeki! All buildings blend well together and I like that there are enough green baseplates to break the greyness. Keep it up! I love that blue house, and the gas station is really cool! I think you mean the police station. Quote
Sir E Fullner Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Nice layout! By the way, is the church Catholic, Lutheran, or a Presbyterian? My bad if I left out any other Christian denominations Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Great town layout. You have loads of wonderful buildings. I hope you will be building more! I think the only thing it really needs is more landscaping. Great job. Quote
Pyramid Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 What a nice town! There's a lot of green, so I bet the air is fresh. I would love to live there, it's really nice. Especially nice job on the houses. Quote

I agree with the Vojvodinac, you need fences. There's no knowing what those neighbours will do to each other. Quote
zeki Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 Thanks for all the nice comments. @efullner The church belongs to no specific denomination. It's just a church. @Brickaroo Never though of neighborhood violance. Fencing will be done ASAP ;) One question to everyone. What kind of trees would you place into the town? Classical LEGO, Brickbuild or "Leaf build"? Quote
chillgoose Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Hey. Im new to the forums but I love your town. As for trees I think all of the above! I like variety. I just have a question. With the model town house what happened to the garage? And as a suggestion maybe add some more "hustle bustle" to your town. It seems very quaint. Maybe thats your style. I would suggest moving your town closer together. Just my two cents Quote
zeki Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) Hustle Bustle will be made with trees and bushes. Also more cars will be added (waiting for BL orders to arrive). As for moving houses more together - I don't like crowded towns. I like green lots with trees and nature. Just like my hometown is :) Also modular area will be added where building will be taking up more space. I removed the garage of MTH and used bricks in other mocs. Edited May 11, 2010 by zeki Quote
wooootles Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 That's a pretty damn cool town. So clean, so nice. Awesome MOCs too as well. The fire station and police station are especially nice and realistic, not the ridiculous glass skyscraper buildings that the sets usually have. Quote
Brickaroo Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Get yourself a metroliner and a train station and you'll have some nice hustle and bustle. Quote
