legitimatealex Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 So I'm moving out into an apartment from college and I've got everything figured out: put everything in storage, move out of dorm room, sleep at apartment, pick up stuff in the morning, win win win. Well that's a no go as I was forced to move out a day early, don't have the key for my apartment yet, and now I'm slumming it in the 24 hour student lounge at my university. This is to document what will happen over the next...8:09 right now so let's say another 12 hours. First, here are my supplies: I think I'm well stocked. Here's my entertainment: Oh lucky me its Eurobricks (my favorite.) What does this have to do with LEGO, you ask, probably not? Well my good friend Nichael is also out of a place to sleep tonight as well so he will be accompanying me. Okay, I'm lying, he does have somewhere to stay but he doesn't like to rub it in. Also that white blur is not his toilet, its a blurry comfy chair. These are the chronicles of me... Quote
legitimatealex Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Update #1 Several Chinese students have entered the 24 student lounge and every single one of them is on the phone. They all glare at me for somehow intruding on them. They are also staring at Nichael. He decides to hide behind the laptop for now. Quote
sok117 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Sorry, but I find your situation absolutely hilarious! Good luck on your escapades! Quote
legitimatealex Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Sorry, but I find your situation absolutely hilarious! Good luck on your escapades! Well its all good, catching up on some shows that I've been behind. Translating stuff for the Chinese students. Running low on supplies though. I might have to pack up the laptop and run out to a gas station or something. Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 What university are you at? I hate when that kind of thing happens. I had the same thing happen to me when I was at WIU. Good thing for me I knew a few RAs and was able to crash in one of the rooms in a different dorm. But yeah, the car was full of all my junk and I lived out of a bag for two days. GOOD TIMES! Quote

Valparaiso University. Small university in NW Indiana. Damn expensive though. You think they could have let me stay a bit longer. The good news is my food is replenished, kind of. Pictures to come lol. Bam! Missing from picture: Raisins Edited May 9, 2010 by legitimatealex Quote
Stash2Sixx Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I do know where Valpo is. Well, hope everything works out for you. Keep us updated! Quote
legitimatealex Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Ha its not big enough for a LEGO store and that's all that matters to me sad face, now sad minifigure face. Update #2 Surprisingly the amount of people in the lounge has increased to 9, with varying amounts of foreign exchange students filtering. Sadly none speak German, which would be of a great boon to me. Supplies remain steady, I wish I hadn't packed up all of my LEGO. Quote
legitimatealex Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 (edited) Sun Maid Raisins, 30 grams of sugar. That Gatorade bottle 12 grams of sugar. How is this possible?! Update 3: I have learned that the Chinese kids slum it in here as well. This has become apparent to me by the large amount of blankets. Update 4: A few more hours left to go. Hopefully I can find more videos to watch. My friend Nichael has fallen asleep somewhere around here. I think he's in the laptop bag. Edited May 9, 2010 by legitimatealex Quote
legitimatealex Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Well the sun is coming up. I suppose in a few hours my little adventure will be over. I'm confused by the single student sleeping in here though. She must have a lot of faith in someone actually watching the security cameras. Quote

I was honestly on the floor laughing my head off! You, sir, are more funny than I can take! ~A.S. Quote

You, sir, are more funny than I can take! ~A.S. Thanks I try for funny : ) Everything turned out alright. I got moved in/out, that student woke up about 2 hours after I left (I was back in the lounge printing off paperwork when she woke up,) she went right back to studying. I found a friend, hitched a ride, got breakfast and everything was good. Speaking of Union I'm working here at the moment. Luckily my job entails surfing the internet for 4 hour blocks of time. Can you believe they pay me for this? Quote
