wmanidi Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I've have been reading the great comics in this form and I love them. I want to make my own, so I have a problem, how do you put text bubbles, borders and the little frame boxes for each scene in? Is there a program or do you use word. One more problem, I use a MacBook Pro so it would help if it ran on mac [but a pc one is OK]. Quote
SpiderSpaceman Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 My iMac strangely had Plasq Comic Life bundled on it. that's what you want 25USD, free trial for 30 days. but before you embark on such suchery, remember the words a wise man once said: DON'T MAKE A WEB COMIC! Why can't you just make a...comic. Everyone knows that putting 'web' in front of words automatically makes them crappier. source just kidding, have fun with it. the software's pretty awesome. LEGO is awesome. Comics are awesome. Best wishes. Quote
Joebot Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Plasq's Comic Life gets a big recommendation from me too. I use it for all the word bubbles in my comics. It's a really great program. As for the actual page layout (panels, etc.), you can probably use Comic Life for that too, but it's pretty confining in that regard. You're much better off with Photoshop Elements (the consumer version of Photoshop). Yeah, it's pretty overwhelming and there's definitely a learning curve, but you can do ANYTHING with it. Good luck with your comic!! Quote
