WIP: My Town

I was able to get some building in today and had time to take some pictures. As always, comments, criticism, questions are welcome. Enjoy!

I must say this town looks lovely - the only thing I'd say it's missing are some more residents :) Can't wait to see what's going to be built at that construction site by the tracks.

Very nice! Good mix between modular and your mocs, the blend together nicely. And I like there is still room for more!

A few more pedestrians would spice it up looking more alive.

EDIT: And I like the differn't size of the buildings. Just waiting for the first modular to be thiner and taller.

The large ball is a water tower. I still need to build a pump house next to it.

More residents are coming. I just didn't want them to get injured in the construction. As for the open area by the tracks, I still haven't decided what is going to go there.

It sure is. The bottom part of the building is the Ace Hardware store. The top is just a generic office building. None of the MOCs have interals just yet. I want to get all of my building constructed before I start working on the internals. I don't want to start ripping apart internals of buildings so I can finish construction on my other buildings.

I also miss residents, and maybe it would be better with proper light.

UPDATE

The large area where construction was happening is now filled with the town's new train station. The train station is three baseplates wide and fully modular.

I am forgoing putting minifigs in my layout for the time being because I still have a lot to build before Brickworld but I will get better pictures of this layout, with minifigs, when I am at Brickworld. Until then enjoy!
