Oh my goodness.....that is one of the greatest spaceships I've ever seen in Lego Dr. S. Just marvelous. The enormous scale is simply something to behold, but on another level the massive level of detail lets it hold up very, very well to close scrutiny.

The hangar is brilliant, that's so amazing that it can fit all those smaller craft inside it. The rails used to position them (and of course for launching) is very clever, and the lights are great.

The Mayfly design is brilliant, I really hope you don't mind if I refer to these designs when thinking of how to build my own spaceships, this achieves an excellent blend of both smooth and having rough edges and greebles. How it attaches to the top of the Europa is almost too smart

The smaller Gnat fighters are very good too. Not as good as the Mayfly, but I love that all the mini-ships have inside details and working cockpit windows.

The turrets are quite neat, I like the design but feel that the grey cord seems too fragile.

The inside is really surprising. It's not really up to the level of the exterior, but still great and I respect that you went all the way in constructing it. It's a little basic, but the fact that you put in working doors, control areas and bedding really shows class.

Thanks a heap for sharing!

 Thanks.

The fighters are over a year old, they were officially unveiled as part of the Neo-Classic Space month in March last year. Believe it or not, even though the Europa wasn't even a twinkle in my eye back then, I had always planned that the unique landing gear on the Gnats would be used to "lock" into some kind of launch rail on...something. The entire design of the Europa was thus built around that concept.

The Mayfly design is brilliant, I really hope you don't mind if I refer to these designs when thinking of how to build my own spaceships, this achieves an excellent blend of both smooth and having rough edges and greebles. How it attaches to the top of the Europa is almost too smart

Not at all, I would be flattered. The Mayfly was almost a separate project entirely, it uses over 1,000 pieces alone!

I love functionality.

Those cables are just sort of excessive decoration really, but one has never popped off, not once. They are pretty strong.

The inside is really surprising. It's not really up to the level of the exterior, but still great and I respect that you went all the way in constructing it. It's a little basic, but the fact that you put in working doors, control areas and bedding really shows class.

The interior is a little basic, I agree, I haven't got the hang of doing mega-internal detailing yet, plus the size of the thing kind of freaked me out a little. I was happy enough to do the sliding doors, knowing I can always refit the rest later.

Having spoken with a few people, I would like to tile the floors throughout internally, but it will have to wait, old grey tile is a bit pricey and I've spent too much already.

Plenty of time, I'm not planning on decommisioning her any time soon.

Okay, I had to pick my jaw off the floor after seeing this. Not quite the biggest or coolest Lego spaceship I've ever seen, but it's definitely near the top. It would qualify as awesome on looks alone, but you added a staggering amount of functionality as well... you, sir, have my utmost and undying admiration.
