jacobkristensen Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 What a great thread. Does anybody renember the green and black barcode truck. Built mostly from studded pieces and the oddly proprammable brick that had a total of one motor output and one sensor input? I sold of the set, during my dark years along with a smaller pneumatic set. And I have regret it alot since. But I stil think of the computer as novelty, and just crossing of where lego electronics is heading. Quote

SheepEater Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 (edited) Novelty or no, the 8479 truck was a fantastic model and a pleasure to build with tons of complex technic nitbits. It was the last large truck to have a working real steering + hand of god steering. Also one of the few models who made good use of the flex system (the other being the T-Rex in 8485). I rank it above 8480 space shuttle. I rank it #3 of all the 90s technic sets (8868 is #1, 8880 is #2, 8479 is #3, 8480 is #4, 8485 is #5, 8460 is #6, 8448 is #7) Edited July 16, 2012 by SheepEater Quote
