Hello Guys!

Trying my first hand at MOC and hoping to share and get some comments on it~ Have been trying to MOC for some time now, but still felling inferior to show my creations, as compared to some of the dazzling creations show-cased here.

Anyway, Allow me the honour to present to you one of my first MOC since i was a child, a Yellow Panel Van. What's a Panel Van u might ask? It's a cross between a car and a van, something like this:

And here is my attempt at trying to re-model it in Lego, using classic town 4-studs goodness:

SIDE VIEW The panels came from the classic refuse truck. I love the 'Recycle' logo~~ Works great as a Cargo logo~

The Rear opens up for storage. It has about a 2x4 stud wide spacing, enough for a crate, shown here.

And here is the driver, pleased with his Panel van even after so many years of wear-and-tear. A trusty vehicle! I Love using these 'Octan' jumpsuit torso guys for delivery men~

And the other model, actually a MOD, modified from the blue-prints of the pickup safety vehicle showcased in the recent City set 7747 Wind Turbine Transporter:

Familar?? I kinda like the pickup, so i tried my hand at making one for my town...

I'm loving the red. I wanted to try white initially, but ran out of parts and discovered red spares were more so... It worked out rather fine i think.

One last look at the both of them together.

Please Do leave some comments and criticism for me to help me to improve! Working out on my first MOC modular at the moment too.. Hopefully it works out ~ Cheers!!

I really like the yellow panel van. You did a great job at creating a classic-style vehicle. There's something almost magical about the 4-stud design. You might want to create a classic-style car wash next to clean those bricks though.:laugh: .

Nice creations.

Your Lego looks well loved. I think it's great to use the classic bricks not everything is curvy and tapered. Consider getting some tiles to match the the newer sets. Enjoy this new chapter in your Lego story.
