Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 An establishing shot. Why was there never a King for the Imperials? Anyway, I decided to make one. And a boat for him, too. Although, it could also be an Admiral's/Captain's Launch/Yacht, as well, and my Imperial ship was actually modified to carry it behind the stern castle at one point, similar to SES. It even has a rudder, but does it need one? The model sans minifigs, and displaying the sail adjust-ability. My inspiration was actually that small ship built on a dinghy from an ad for one of the old idea books in an old S&H catalog. I actually built a similar ship for pirates, since I didn't have a pirate ship, back in the day. Version 1, and how it usually looks since I only have one of those white roof pieces! Quote
Fires-storm Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Wow, I really like this, one of the smallest I've seen yet I like the main idea for it, and the white with brown actually looks kinda nice, in MOP. I think it looks very good, nice work mate Keep bricking, I like seeing what you create. Quote
Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 MOP? Thanks, did you see the Piratey Island I made? Quote
Fires-storm Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 MOP=my own opinion Yup, saw it, it really does remind me of an old style pirate fort set, and the colors you chose look pretty good together. I just didn't have time to comment on it Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I love it. You took the concept of building something on a row boat hull and managed something pretty good. Quote

Thanks, Hornbricker, I think it turned out pretty well considering, and you start to forget it is built on a row boat! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 That looks pretty nice. Perhaps the steering wheel isn't necessarry though. I would add a rudder at the back instead. Great work on the rigging and hull though, I really like how you've made the bow. Quote
Captain Becker Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Backmoor is right at me, here should be a rufdder instead of steering wheel, but the rest of the ship is very instresting keep it up mate Captain Becker Quote

You are probably right about the wheel, though. Although, when I removed it, before taking pictures, it seemed like something was missing. Perhaps there is something else I could put there in its place. Edited April 28, 2010 by Skulls_Eye_Schooner_Sailor Quote
