Hi,

How are you guys doing? Been lurking a little while and have joined up after seeing some of the amazing MOC ships/fleets that people have created. I have now been inspired to start working on my own fleet and want to start the research. So that begs the question good books to read for history of the time? I will probably be building a British or French fleet. I'm a big history fan so I'm looking forward to the process!

I have the small start to a fleet with the

Black seas barracuda

Skull eye's Schooner

Caribbean Clipper

And I also am getting the Imperial Flag Ship tomorrow!

I've been collecting legos since I can remember but haven't done anything in quite some time but then I saw the imperial flag ship and saw your guys' fleets and got inspired.

Thanks!

If you like good history time line books theirs a good series called eyewitness books by dk publishing. I would recommend the one on boats ,pirates , and American revolution! All have pictures and great descriptions on things, there actually kids books but i'm 27 and i still find them helpful and just great to read!

For Book's, I've enjoyed "On Stranger Tides". It's a good story about Pirates and a guy called Jack Chandagnac who get's forced to join to travel to the Foutain of Youth. It's what the New Pirates of the Caribbean movie is based on.

I'd also recommend the Bounty Trilogy.
