Monorail

Anyone experience any motor issues with their monorails. I just rebuilt mine for first time in forever and I have tried a few different batteries and it just won't start up. I suppose it could be battery box or little cable and not the motor itself. Anyone have and ideas for me or any experience to pass on. Please help, my 4 year old daughter can not wait any longer!!!! (she is rabid for some monorail)

How old is it? The box itself could be broken.

I got it brand new when I was a kid and palyed with it maybe a year or so and packed it away until today. Yeah,any component or all components could be bad. Anyone have issues with any particular part, the black wire piece looks a little sketchy. None of the parts have any unusual or more than usual wear on them.

If you've got the lights that fit on top of the battery box I'd suggest trying them and seeing if they work, in which case you can rule out the battery box, next look at the wire if you've got another one or the electric plates try them with the lights if that all works it's a motor issue and things will get quite complex.
