Kahgarak Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I do,and here in The Netherlands its all about the Salem Stalker. The episodes that air in the USA air here one year later...meh. Quote
Hobbes Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I haven't watched since they cut Dr. Drake Remore out... Seriously, I haven't seen one episode. Doesn't air here and I'm not interested in getting it "from somewhere else", if you know what I mean... Quote
SuvieD Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I used to watch soap operas when I was 12 because of all the good looking ladies. Then I realized that there are much more interesting things to do and better looking woman in real life without all the hokey drama. Do yourself a favor and spend more time building with LEGO or playing sports and quit watching the mind rot. Quote
Kahgarak Posted March 1, 2006 Author Posted March 1, 2006 It's not your average soap. It's full of criminals and has some paranormal stuff in it. (such as Marlena being possessed) Anyway,i dont prefer it above Lego.Lego is still my #1 entertainment thingy. Quote

The Hordesman Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 I can definetly not watch "days of our lives"; the dialog is laughable, the acting is mediocre, the story is wierd, and its pretty much something that tries desperatly to stay alive. No, I dont like it. But then, perhaps Im just going with the flow since soaps are considered "fjortis" here, and "fjortis" is NOT what you want to be. Quote
Deinonychus Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Oh hell you should be in on my daily regimen. At our house we have TiVo, so the Wife records The Young and the Restless every day and when we get home from work and sit down to dinner she fires that up and watches it first thing...so by extention, I've ended up watching it every night during dinner for the past several years. Being married is fun isn't it kids? Quote
Dragon King Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I can't watch it I mean it makes no sense. Also the acting is well mediocre. Quote
Kahgarak Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 Did you know that Days of Our Lives is the soap with the most episodes since the 60's? Quote

Being married is fun isn't it kids? Reason #447 for not owning a TV. The worst thing I ever watch with my wife is the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice. I make her watch LotR extended editions though so I think we are even. Quote
tophdawg Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 i enjoy watching soap operas for the bad acting and worse plots and terrible scripts. My favorite has to be an episode of one soap (i forget which one) in which a nun holds a guy hostage, or in another episode the characters try to break through a force field in the woods (why was it there) and end up jumping into it and get thrown back several feet then stand right up Quote
