Daniel Williams Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) It took ten days as we headed towards the town somewhere near the Utah beach. I stopped as I looked at a soldier sitting near a cement wall looking at his hands. I asked him what's wrong. He looked up at me and it was the first time I saw it. There were medical reports of soldiers just starring into the distance, they called it the thousand yard stare. He just looked through me with those eyes that showed a man who didn't sleep for six days or so. Comments and suggests welcomed... Edited April 15, 2010 by Daniel Williams Quote
Superkalle Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 (edited) Reading the text was very important to understand the mood of the MOC. But having read that, the expression of the Minifig is just spot on. I see you've detached the legs to make it look like he's sitting down. Perhaps a bit unorthodox, but it works from the angle you photographed. Personally however, I'm a bit of a purist and want to keep the legs on! Once exception could be if you build a scene where body parts that have been blown off from landmines etc (pretty gruesome though ) . EDIT: just saw that it had been done here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=40686 Looking forward to seeing a larger scene from Utah beach, maybe when the're on the way up on the beach!
