lightningtiger Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Usually I use lots of panels in even the smallest of buildings, but there was a theme with this police station I wanted to use - old school ! Yep, mostly brick built with only one 3x4 panel in it's construction - of course a door and two windows plus good old slope 33 pieces for the roof. See what you think everyone - Comments welcome ! Small country towns - have only a small cop shop and usually one officer per town - ever watched Heartbeat eh ? I'm a conformist! ! Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 This one is particularly neat LT. It has a real clean design, and I like the colors. I particularly like how you made the roof, and nice job on the custom decals. Unrelated to your MOC, why the smileys on all your creations/topics? Quote
jonwil Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Nice police station, looks perfect for a small country town. Looks just like its been there for years. Quote
Zorbas Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Nice work lightningtiger. It's looks very good being mostly brick built. The colour scheme looks very interesting and I like that tan pattern you've achieved by placing the bricks in that way. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Thanks 'The Brickster', 'jonwil' and 'Zorbas' for your kind words, oh yeah 'smilies' - if I have a positive post or friendly post I use it. A sad or questionable post - one that is not of cheerful nature or negative as well - they don't get a smilie. Still working on the fire station, I'm a conformist! ! Quote
BlueBard Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Small but smart! And as allways, the decals really give the "feeling" Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Thanks 'BlueBard' for your kind words - always nice to hear from you. I have also stage one of fire station 75 % complete, I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote

lightningtiger Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Thanks 'awesomebrick' for your kind reply and nice to hear from 'Zorbas' again - yeah burning the midnight oil I normally do to - think I might do some more work tonight on the fire station. First pictures in 24 hours or so. I'm a conformist! everyone ! Quote
Lord Arjay Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Nice police station lightningtiger. It's nice that it is mostly brickbuilt and the colour scheme looks nice aswell. Is this what it's based upon? Or am I completely wrong Regardless it's a nice MOC. Well done! Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Thanks 'Lord Arjay' for your kind comments. Well I looked at that picture yesterday - after I had built it. My wife's familiy come from a tiny town called Coonalpyn, they have a little police station so it is inspired by this one from memory except the brick work is based on what would have been done 80 years ago. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
prateek Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Cool station! IMO, this is one of the best buildings you've made so far. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 11, 2010 Author Posted April 11, 2010 Thanks 'prateek' for your kind comment. If you think this is good - the fire station is progessing nicely with the pick up truck's drive way done with roller door and small workshop. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
dr_spock Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Nice little police station. The roof looks good. Do criminals in little outback towns get transferred to larger stations with jails? Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 Thanks 'dr_spock' for your kind reply, yes they do send the crim's to the city watchhouse. I'm a conformist! ! Quote

-zenn Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Your're moc's really look like the pictures. How did you stick/glue the decals on btw? Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 Thank you '-zenn' for that kind comment - photo sticker paper from Officeworks and a job ink jet printer - the trick is trying to get the scale right - which can be really really tricky ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 6, 2010 Author Posted May 6, 2010 G'day everyone - I've being tiling again ! What do you think of the interior of the station now everyone ? Comments are very welcome and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
