vladoniki Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 It a simple, but a tall building. 13 floors + 1 attic. It is 71 cm tall. Its weight is 3200 grams. It is not still finished. Soon I will post new photos. :) Fell free to comment and criticize. :) Quote
vladoniki Posted April 8, 2010 Author Posted April 8, 2010 Inside is still empty unfortunately. Quote
prateek Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I like it! It's simple, but it is really nice. IMO, the sheer size makes up for no interior Quote
FinalFeature Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Thats very tall vladoniki! Are you going to be making more skyscrapers? Quote
vladoniki Posted April 8, 2010 Author Posted April 8, 2010 This is my first skyscraper. :) I am sure that it will not be the last one. :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Very nice 'vladoniki' - 13 high eh ? Now that's big ! First question is it offices or living in ? Second question are you going to build a fire engine with a ladder system long enough to least rescue people from at least some of the floors eh ? Great designing and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
wooootles Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I really don't think skyscrapers of this magnitude need an interior. It's sheer size should be enough to wow viewers. I like the roof detail here and the antenna That said ground level can use some details though, aside from just the building sitting in a green plate. Quote
Scorpio Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Bah, someone beat me too it. Is that supposed to be a cell tower on the top of the building? If so, I was one story away from posting mine. Oh well, nice looking building. Personally, I am not a fan of yellow but you made it look nice. Quote
vladoniki Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 (edited) It has a mobile operator cell mounted on the roof. :) Here is a photo of the cell: Edited April 9, 2010 by vladoniki Quote
vladoniki Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 (edited) Very nice 'vladoniki' - 13 high eh ? Now that's big ! First question is it offices or living in ? Thanks, 'lightningtiger'! Its hight is 13 floors and 1 attic - complete 14 floors. First floor is 6 bricks high, the other 13 floors - 5 brick high, the attic - also 5 brick high. At the first floor there are shops, the next 13 floors are living area. :) The fire engine has to be too big and unreal sized to serve the roof. :) In that case can be used a helicopter. My next project is a fire building. The firefighters will have a big truck parked in the garage, also a helicopter landed on the roof. :) Edited April 9, 2010 by vladoniki Quote
benny Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Wah!! A very high building! I want to see the internal design. Quote
vladoniki Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 (edited) Wah!! A very high building! I want to see the internal design. Actually it is quite empty inside. It does not have any floor plates. I will make a photo how the inside looks like. Edited April 9, 2010 by vladoniki Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Actually it is quite empty inside. It does not have any floors plates. I will make a photo how the inside looks like. Well then it's very similar to real skyscrapers. I don't blame the architects for the open plan of them, it would cost far too much to build walls inside buildings of this scale. Nice MOC though, would be great to see it in a city diorama with a few other buildings... Quote
vladoniki Posted April 9, 2010 Author Posted April 9, 2010 I started Lego hobby some months ago (6-7 months). I'm at the beginning of Lego collectibles. My last Lego Town layout: I know it's quite a bit, but it is growing. :) I plan to build 2 more buildings, than I will make a similar, but a bigger town layout. :) Quote
Lord Arjay Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Thats a long way down for someone to fall, if you were a minifig of course. Personally the sheer size of it makes up for lack of interior. Well done! Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 Inside the building: So it's almost completely hollow? I wouldn't want to be seeing that if I were a minifig. Quote
vladoniki Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 Upgrade: 18 floors, 91 cm: Actually it is tallest building i my town. Quote
vladoniki Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 19 floors 94 cm tall to the roof, 108 cm - to the top of the antenna weight - 4160 grams Quote
