benny Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 (edited) I like the city farm set so much. Firstly, i used my old lego parts to make the 80s set 6379. Secondly, i bought the 2009 city set----farm. I used its parts to make a cow house with food store. I followed the 6379 color to make the cow house. At the top of the house, it has the chicken wind direct. On another side, i also made the water storage tank. For the transportation, the farm has the milk tank lorry. I will make more farm MOC later. Edited April 9, 2010 by TheBrickster Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Nice job Benny. It's neat to see the Classic Town farm house/riding stable in the scene. I've always loved that horse with horseshoe picture. The barn, made with the same color combination, really blends in well. I like the modified grain silo made into a water tower, and the hay wagon is a nice one. Great little scene here! Quote
RoryoCox Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Very classic town. The building is very well designed, nice and simple. The house and farm set go well together, Well Done Quote

As i don't like the orignal grain silo deisgn, i used the parts to make the water tower. It left so many parts to make other MOC. The next farm MOC may be the slaughterhouse. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 GREAT job, man-- this is what the farm should have been-- the house, the REAL barn, just a full farm setting and the people to go with it! Consider me impressed. Quote
Lord Arjay Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Briliant, you really have captured the feel of the quaint little country farm that I run into so often on my holidays. This is not only better than the official set your farm points and laughs at it. Quote

Consider me impressed. Yes!!! The orginal design of barn in the farm is look like abnormal. I found the actual barn photo as reference, then i made this barn. The main advantage is 1) mixed the store into the cow barn, 2) reduce the size 3) change the color can match to other house. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 AWESOME Farm 'benny' - there is sometimes nothing better than that classic town look eh ? The barn is beautiful, makes me want to take 7637 and pimp it to the max. Excellent designing 'benny' and I'm a conformist! ! Quote

Its barn is too big in size, it is not ease to match to the farm or other set. So that i amended it into another style, the effect is very good. Please waiting for my slaugtherhouse! Quote
tulatin Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I think you've done a wonderful job here. I like the little details that almost don't count as details too, for example the barn doors that aren't entirely secured. It gives the whole thing a slightly desperate feeling, but one that gets the job done Quote

Redcross Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Lots of great little details, well done. A nice little windmill to pump the water up to the tank could be fun. Quote

Actually, i don't know the windmill is used to pump up the water to the tank. Let me improve it when i develop the 2nd development of the farm. It will be the pig barn. Quote
