vahkimetru Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 The comments on my last Space MOC were quite sensible, and brought me to build two more improved MOCs. War Party Class: E-5 Millennium Release Starfighter Weapons: One heavy capacity laser cannon, two low energy laser guns, two sets of twin high pulse laser cannons, Engine: Twin Hyperspace Capable Engines Faction: Bounty Hunter Quote
Chuck Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 They seem a little blocky and miscolored. Try using the SNOT technique and make the colors blend with eachother. I'd also take away all the dark bley in them too. And remember: don't only make mocs that fit into a theme. 1st moc: 3.5/10 2nd moc: 3.9/10 -l2k- Quote
vahkimetru Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 I know what bley is, but what is SNOT? Quote
Chuck Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I know what bley is, but what is SNOT? Studs Not On Top Its when you have studs sideways, giving the overall appearance a smoother look. -l2k- Quote
Kikuichimonji Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I have to agree with lego2000 on this one. They're still very blocky (use SNOT techniques to make them look better) and the colors aren't perfect either. The first one has a very ugly color scheme IMO. The second one has a pretty good color scheme but it doesn't have "it". I'm not gonna give a mark because my MOCs are far from perfect either... Still, I can see improvement. Use SNOT techniques and try toying around with the color schemes a bit more and you'll do even better. Good luck  EDIT: SNOT info over here Quote
vahkimetru Posted February 25, 2006 Author Posted February 25, 2006 Ugly colour scheme? I'm not mad at your comment, but I feared that people would hate my second MOC. I thought my first was better! Well, thanks for the comments. I'm not going to wreck these, I like them too much. I just should cross MOCist of my list of jobs for the future. Quote

Well, thanks for the comments. I'm not going to wreck these, I like them too much. I just should cross MOCist of my list of jobs for the future. It just takes some practice. Eventually, you will be able to make great MOCs. I should know, I practiced and now I can make pretty good MOCs. Don't stop building, just practice. IM me if you want some MOCing tips. -l2k- Quote
