Two Star Wars Customs

I finally got round to photograph some of my custom minifigs. For a start, here are two of my personal favourites.

One thing ahead: I know that using decals might produce better results, but, cheap as I am, I don't buy any. So I have to rely on my painting skills.

The Special Operations Clonetrooper is trained for all kinds of special missions for the Republic forces. He is heavily armed (overarmed, I admit) and can operate in a variety of environments.

This fig originates from my love for Scouttrooper armor and the fact that orange is my favourite colour. Customised here are the helmet and legs, which are painted and the use of a trans-blue head to simulate a "glowing" visor, similar to Republic Commandos.

The rocket launcher is pedro's simple yet awesome design.

The second minifig is Jango Fett. While the original fig is well detailed, I always felt there was room for improvement. I didn't like the colour of the arms and legs (a sort of pale purple) which is fairly accurate to the movie, but I don't like it. So here is looks over accuracy and painted Han Solo legs to give the impression of Jango's dual armored boots and dual holsters. The helmet is modified to mount a targeting rangefinder and the jetpack is painted as well. A thin, black piece of yarn simulates the fuel line from the jetpack to the wrist-mounted flamethrower. The pistols are old-type sprayguns, which I think look a lot more like Jango's guns then revolves.

Awesome figs! Both of them are overflowing with detail. I love the rifle for the clone, and the painted backpack on Jango is cool

Awesome figs, dude! You should use the same technique for a Boba Fett, it'd look awesome. The only issue I have is the clone's cutlass. Is he aiming to take down some pirates?

Thanks very much, I wasn't sure about these, compared to some of the other customs here, they are rather amateurish.

Thanks! I have one Boba Fett minifig customised as much as Jango, even though he doesn't yet have a rangefinder mounted. I guess I might post him next. The Clonetrooper carries a vibrosword as a weapon for close combat. Sort of like a combat knife, in his typical overkill style, also very useful when operating in jingle environment and might even be helpful when Order 66 is issued.
