Here's something I've been working on for the last couple of days; it still needs a lot of work, and I'm planning on adding a second structure to the right portion of the baseplate scheme, along with some rope bridges; the from tower I took from "Lord of the Rings" - it is a fire beacon for pirate vessels, and will go along nicely with the mammoth ship that I plan on building in the next few months. Anyway, here's some photos of it (forgive the mess - it's trashed with other bricks).

Chaining a skeleton to the tower proved to be very difficult - lots of bad words before it was done LOL. :pir-cry_sad:

I need to change the stairs piece to a brown one - I just ordered a bunch of bricks from Pick-a-brick, and will have more photos soon; I also need to add furniture and tile the interior with brown tiles (wood flooring):

Here's an easy way to make a REAL rope bridge from 100% LEGO parts, although it is only just over 10 studs in length:

The ventral studs trap the net and prevent it from slipping off of the tiles:

It's quite a mess there in the water, next time you'd better remove all those bricks first, making it look more professional :pir-wink:

For the rest it looks good, I must say I really like your cannonbases and the rope bridge is also very nice.

Good job, keep it up!

Wow, this is turning into a real beauty of an outpost! I love all the detail, and has others have said the cannon bases are spectacular! Nicely done mate, cant wait for more

I really like the interior of the building and the skelly chained to the wall is nice too.

Thank you for sharing, please let us know when you post an update of it.

Enjoy the photos; I'm still waiting on a huge order of bricks that will allow me to build the second floor and roof of the new structure.

This is very nice indeed! The perfect pirate hideout!

The rope bridge technique is awesome, and I might use that in the future!

You've put a lot of effort in this creation, and it is paying off nicely.

Keep it up and thanks for sharing already!

That is some nice progress you made there! I love the rope bridge. Although, those blue and red slopes are a bit too much in my opinion - since you have some red pieces already, you should stick with red. :pir-classic:

To start welcome to EuroBricks!

I'm not sure what you're plans are right now, but I suggest lessening the debris in the water to a minimum. It loses some of its charm from it and makes it look just a tad sloppy. I also suggest SNOT water as this will give it a much cleaner look. Unless of course you are aiming for a classic style in which the studded water looks fine. I'm sure chaining that skeleton to the cliff side was a pain. I have tried and failed in situations like those.

Nice start! :pir-classic:

Well, I've been able to do some more work on the new structure tonight - here are some updated photos.

Crazy roof:

Tiled most of the first floor with planks - I'm waiting on a small order of about 200 more brown tiles to finish the flooring of both buildings:

Fire beacon with fire:

The right side - changed the awnings:

The back; the first floor looks a little spacious and boring, but I plan on adding plenty of minifigures to it in the next few days:

dscn1342k.jpg

The second floor brothel - I wish I had a better photo of this - there's actually a really detailed bed, a stool, and two dressers in here (this also obviously needs tiling, and I dropped a roof brick in here):

Enjoy the photos; I think that the first building needs some sprucing up compared to this new one.

AWESOME 'CCOOK' - I really like the interior, beautifully detailed just what that pirate would order he he or even she would want to get away from it all at ! :pir-wink:

The exterior and gardens are great as well.

Keep up the COOL work and I'm a conformist! 'CCOOK' really I'm a conformist! ! :pir-sweet:

Here's the interior with the back roofing torn off - I also added a chandelier and a map plaque on the second floor wall; I took the tiling off of the main dock and used it to finish the flooring of the first and second floors.

Here you can see the bed more easily:

I will overhaul the first building and its interior/roof over the next few days, and then place the minifigures.
