Sir Dillon Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Hello! This is a post-apocalypse creation I made for the "Blood in the Snow" contest on flickr. Brickshelf Gallery The grille-tile bullet trail idea was borrowed from flickr user [Carter] Please let me know what you think! Quote
Big Cam Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 That's so cool. I think the amount of empty space actually add's to this MOC. It gives the feel of a scene you'd see in a movie, especially since you are zoomed back enough to see the mech chasing them down. I don't see the blood though? Quote
Fires-storm Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Wow, an excellent moc to be sure! I like how you did the mech, and the girl running in the snow is also very cool, as well as the car buried under the snow. Well done mate, and keep bricking. Quote
cagri Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I like the color scheme, it does look interesting. Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 That's an epic wasteland scene. Very interesting to look at. The amount of space is so cool. It really makes you feel like the minifigures are very lucky to have gotten as far as they have. Quote
Shurik Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 (edited) Such a thrilling moc! Wow! Will you tell us in another diorama whether they managed to run away from bullets or not? Edited March 30, 2010 by Shurik Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Excellent design 'Sir Dillon' - AWESOME battle machine in the background and love that bullets-hitting-snow trick ! Really great snow scape and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Guss Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Excellent, love it! Love the mecha, the snowy scene, great job! Quote
Sir Dillon Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 Thanks everyone! Your comments are encouraging. I don't see the blood though? Despite the name of the contest, blood isn't actually required. I decided to make this scene focusing on the time before the potential "blood in the snow". Will you tell us in another diorama whether they managed to run away from bullets or not? No, I'll leave it up to the viewer to decide if they make it or not. Quote
