lightningtiger Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 OMG ! That's AWESOME ! Beautiful job making a giant dwarf miner in the side of what must be a mine or fortress ! I'm a conformist! 'mrts' really I'm a conformist! !!!! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Wow! Nice to see you building again mrts. A nice return to form I might add, a lovely dwarven mine entrance, it really has a cold barren feel to it. Hope to see some more from you soon. Quote
Admiral William Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 That...is...huge. And I love it! It's just amazing! Quote
Izzy Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 This MOC is brilliant, so massive... do you think they are over-compensating for something? I think the landscaping is perfect, no much would be growing on such a rocky landscape any how. Quote
Big Cam Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Wow, this is epic. The white snow pieces all over the canyon wall really make your eyes think it's snowing. Awesome work, it really reminds me of the movie with it's grand scale. Quote
DarkFader Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Really impressive and large MOC; great work done with it. I love the snow effect, it gives gives the MOC a lot more life. Quote
LegoDad42 Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Wow...great archway! The Dwarf relief is excellent...the beard...the HUGE hammer.... Love it! Love the snow effect as well....just a fantastic MOC!!! Any interior details? Quote
ziljin Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 This is awesome. Nice dwarf statue monument built into the mountain. Quote
Milan Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Fantastic and epic MOC. Snow is very nice, so is the stone. I would also like to see the hammer in the hand of the dwarf! Extra nice! Quote
badboytje88 Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Wow this is so Epicly cool! I'm drooling! Quote
mautara Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Impressive, huge and very detailed and full of original interesting use of many bricks. Compliments! Quote
Lego Lassie Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Really amazing work! I too thought of LotR at first glance. I also like the relative barrenness of the landscaping in front. It makes the entrance that much more imposing to any who approach. Thanks so much for posting! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 That is a real astonishing creation! It's awesome. The dwarf is already an epic creation on it's own! The rock seems a bit flat to me, but the rest is amazing. Great job and welcome back! Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Really nice MOC! I forgive you for the 'basic' ground The dwarf in the rock is very recognizible and the small windows are also well done. And the 1x1 white plates on the rock give it almost the effect of falling snow. Goob job! Quote
blueandwhite Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 That's a nice looking gate you've got there! More than anything, I quite like the fact that the Dwarf relief is proportioned like a minifig. It really gives this MOC a certain charm. It's nice to see minifigs in a minifig-proportioned world. The snowy path is also quite lovely. Winter MOCs are fairly rare, so it's a nice change of pace when you see one executed this well. Good stuff. Quote
supertoad64 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Wow, simply amazing! It's pretty impressive how you've done the snow with the white bricks. It really creates the illusion of snowfall. I would love to see an interior! Quote
Princess Muttonchops Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Awesome MOC. I can just imagine dwarves building something as audacious as this for their front door. Quote
Legio XIII Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 OOOH!! It's a winter wonderland if e'er I saw one. I Especially love the iced over-pond!! Ya know.. this reminds me of a Super Mario 64 level... I can't remember its name, but it was the one with a big snowman-mountain-thing... ??? Cookies for anyone who can help me with the level's name. Again, kudos on the brilliant MOC! Quote
Wout Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 What a terriffic moc. I'm curious if we'll see an interior. Quote
