roamingstop Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Says it all. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Leaf.aspx?cn=627&d=70 Prices about 10% more expensive than in US. e.g. Fallingwater = 99$ or 75 GBP == $111 (with current exchange rate).
Fugazi Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 This is good (and surprising) news. The models are gorgeous, but I am of the opinion that they will be a commercial failure because of the excessive price they command. How good can the booklets be to justify selling 57 pieces sets for £20??

How good can the booklets be to justify selling 57 pieces sets for £20?? Small ones - not really sure. AFOL's I suppose. Ive been eyeing the Freewater one for a while due to some nice building techniques and lots of tan parts (ok Tan House and GE are better generic sources). Hmm lets see what April's bonus brings. Oh wait a taj mahal.
escortmad79 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Reckon this could be a flop! Price per piece is horrendous value for money! Freewater or for example the cheaper Emerald Night? I know which I'd rather purchase & I already own it!!
jamtf Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I was in the Lego Store in Oberhausen (Germany) last week and they had them there as well. Since I had other priorities such as filling my free Christmas PAB boxes, the 10196 Grand Carousel and the Star Wars book, I did not buy any of them.
paul_delahaye Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I spotted these in the lego store bluewater a couple of weeks ago, never mentioned it as it did not cross my mind at the time
