jerba Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 BigBadToyShop.com has these up for pre-order, bag of 40 for $130.00, sealed master case of 200 for $580.00 or individually for $3.49random selection. Here is the link: http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search....lego&page=2 Sorry if this isn't the right spot for the information. Yikes, I'm hoping they typically overcharge... but to be honest I always thought the figs would sell for around $3 each. When the $1.99 price was quoted I was thrilled but this news is a little disheartening. The "Master Case" seems strange to me. I wonder how many displays that is. But that also makes me wonder why they'd have a bag of 40 and not just sell displays... sheesh, this really turns the whole situation on its head. I'm hoping that we find out solid info soon. Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Yikes, I'm hoping they typically overcharge... but to be honest I always thought the figs would sell for around $3 each. But that also makes me wonder why they'd have a bag of 40 and not just sell displays... sheesh, this really turns the whole situation on its head. I'm hoping that we find out solid info soon. Indeed, that's... strange. My understanding is that a countertop display box will contain 60 figures, and there are two boxes to a case, so 120 figures per case. I don't know what this "Master Case" would be; the numbers don't match - it sounds like 3 1/3 boxes. They also talk about a "bag" of 40 figures, which aside from not matching the other info just doesn't make sense (I mean, it's not like retail stores are going to have a bag on the shelf from which kids pull these things). I think this BigBadToyShop.com outfit either has bad information or is planning on breaking up the cases and boxes to put together their own bulk packages. And the retail price is indeed supposed to be $1.99 per figure, from what I've read. I plan to visit Walt Disney World (and the LEGO Store at Downtown Disney there) in late May. I know these minifigs are officially set for launch in June, but IIRC, that store has sometimes gotten new products a month or two before their official release months (getting the '09 Pirates sets in November or December '08, for example). I'm therefore hoping these minifigs make it there by the time I'm there, so that perhaps I can buy a bunch of them then. Quote
Aanchir Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) The hair color is called "Cool Yellow", which is LEGO's official name for "Bright Light Yellow". An easy way to check which color a piece is (this year) is to check the internal LEGO color scheme and cross reference with either Peeron's color list or the color tree at http://www.isodomos.com to find what typical AFOL name/Bricklink name/Peeron name the LEGO color name equates to. Any color LEGO uses this year will be on that list. Edited March 24, 2010 by Aanchir Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 (edited) Don't remember if this was answered before, but can you actually feel the pom-poms through the bag? This isn't at the top of my list along with the caveman and cowboy , but not at the bottom with the diver . What material are the pom-poms made of? They remind me of Exo-Force hair, so for some reason I think they're flexible. [Just noticed those two smileys on top of eachother look like a cheerleader(with the crazy eyes as the pom-poms)] Edited March 24, 2010 by indianajones Quote
Delta 38 Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Well, not too excited about this except for completing my collection (in the future when these are released) and for those pom poms. Quote
astefan Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I like this figure. It is very beatiful girl with a very beatiful pompons. I want to buy it! Quote
GI blockage Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Is the view from behind too hot for the forums, or can the rest of us have an ogle too? Kudos to whoever changed my username description. A minifig like this sure does blur the boundary between hobby and fetish. Quote
CopMike Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 Copmike - Can you provide a side pic? I want to know if she has side printing, because in this: She does, and I wanted to make sure. There´s printing: The hair color is called "Cool Yellow", which is LEGO's official name for "Bright Light Yellow". Any color LEGO uses this year will be on that list.Yes, but it´s slightly lighter than my other Bright Light Yellow pieces. Quote
Lego Lassie Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 One of my top wants from the first wave. She looks great and it's so nice to get another female minifigure. A couple of different minifig faces and hair pieces and we've got ourselves a beautiful squad to cheer on somebody......perhaps the wrestler since we have no football players! Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 So this is the only minifig other than Max with side printing(so far)? I hope they'll put them in sets soon instead of just rare/random/hard-to-get minifigs. Quote
Athos Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 I guess with those handle pieces on the pom-poms they must be using a different piece for the clown hair, unlike we'd previously thought. Steve Quote
Ronan Dragonov Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I must possess this minifig - at least the blond hair (my Hitchcockian persona demands it.) Quote
Capt. Kirk Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 That's the University of Memphis logo! --> You can see it like that,... but maybe the "M" has another meaning... --> But it's nice to read that you all love the MF collection... thx guys!!! Quote
Piranha Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Thanks for another fig review copmike I want these figs but they aren't even out yet. I have no power therefore Hopefully this will not be one of the harder to find figs. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 --> You can see it like that,... but maybe the "M" has another meaning... Darth Maul? Meatball? Manatee? Map? Monticello?... Quote

As soon as I saw the cheerleader I thought she was an M-tron fan :-) I can see a good use for M-tron torsos in my town. Quote
escortmad79 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 It's certainly a nice figure, aside from the vacant look on her face!! I like her so much I went & got 3 of them!! If you're venturing into Kirkcaldy Toys-R-Us in the hope of finding one.... sorry!! Quote
