k_peek_2000 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 (edited) Hey guys, I am happy to finally post my first moc. It's a heavy duty anti-space ship Artillery Gun. I don't have to many pieces (pretty much made up of Droid Tri-Fighter/Mid Scale Falcon Pieces. I am open to critiscism, I'd love to hear what you guys think! lightningtiger Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Great heavy piece you have there 'k_peek_2000' ! What does it fire, laser bolts, plasma bolts, ? Very nice design job and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Hound Knight Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Very cool, there's some ingenious part usage in this MOC. Quote
Fires-storm Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 A very nice all around design, it came out very nice indeed. I love all the different techniques you used, it looks pretty much exactly like one should. Excellent job, and keep bricking! Quote
ciano Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 That looks great! Maybe you could build a base with firing controls next. Quote
Guss Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Nice look ! I like it ^^ you should build a base and put it at the entrance, it'll look great^^ Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 OOooh! Aaah! That's really well done! Especially since you're low on parts. Personally I don't like the computer and lever much, looks like a way to weak part of the defence. I'd rather see it remote controlled via wires we can't see. So to the speak. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I missed this, and it's a shame that I didn't see it at first 'cause this is awesome! I've tried many times to make cool turrets, but usually they are failures, but this, this just blows my feeble attempts away. I am stunned by the glory of this sleek weapon! Great job! ~Insectoid Aristocrat, who ain't got no turrets Quote
k_peek_2000 Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 I love all the positive feedback! I definitely wasn't expecting it since it's my first moc. I do agree that the monitor in the corner is probably the only thing holding it back, when I get some more pieces that's the first thing I plan on changing. Any good tips for sets that have good number of detail pieces, i'm thinking the Magna-Fighter. Quote
Capt. Stabbin Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Very nice!!! Must take an army of minifigs to operate!! Quote
k_peek_2000 Posted March 25, 2010 Author Posted March 25, 2010 Just one little update. I got rid of the black screen and lever and added a large sort of engine type structure to that leg of the turret. Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Big improvement! Now wipe that surface it stand on. ;) Quote
Dr_Legoman Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 As a new member I'm making a little run around through the Sci-Fi themes (my favorite) and I'm impressed with skill and imagination of people here. Another great creation, powerful ground defense cannon, lots of details and it has that great SF look to it. Keep up the good work! Quote
