Brickington Sails Forth! Episode One: Foreign Pirates, and a Lesso

Ahoy!

Its been a while, but i have finally got around to making a new movie, and so here it is!

This is a series which i will be releasing as and when i complete episodes, featuring the adventures of Captain Brickington and his men in the hunt for some mysterious "Foreign Pirates".

This episode features probably more talking than future episodes will, so i'll admit that the stop-motion isnt great at times - i promise in future more action-based episodes that the stop motion will be smoother! Also the lighting goes abit dodgy in the middle, but its okay again by the end so bare with it!

All feedback and ratings are much appreciated!

And a quick message to the mods - I decided to place this here as opposed to the Brickflicks forum, on the basis that i felt that the people in the pirates forum would appreciate and enjoy this more. I understand if you do decide to move it however!

So, without further ado!

Wow, a hilarious movie, I truly can't wait until the next one come out! Pirate economics made me laugh my head off, and the oh, drat feeling at the end is priceless. Well done mate, and definitely make more of these :pir_laugh2:

Sure do! It was very enjoyable, great job! You have a sense of humour, the economic lesson was quite funny! :pir_laugh2:

The voices are very clear, and you did a nice job on the background! The sea was also done nicely.

And the end was just priceless. :pir-laugh:

Good job!

The cannon story is sad but true...

I'm not too sure about that. :pir-wink:

British ships were heavier armed with heavier guns then their opponents, talking about ships of the line.

They had an excellent trained crew too. The opponents (French, Dutch, United States mostly) had better armoured, armed and faster frigates.

That was the history lesson for today. :pir-laugh:

That's not what I was aiming for, I ment that LEGO sets do not have many cannons (eg. 4 cannons - 8 gunports). I'd rather pay a bit more for a set and have 8 cannons, not 4 - because I live in Croatia and even the Cannon battle sets are not the cheapest here. :pir-cry_sad::cannon:

Thanks for the "history lesson" anyway! :pir-classic:

That is very true! The real LEGO Imperial Guard ships are quite under armed, the Imperial Soldier ships too if you take a look at the pirate vessels...

Now we have the Imperial Flagship which has quite an armament considering the previous Pirate Line.

It's also not too great most LEGO ships have indeed twice more gunports then actual cannons on board...

It would be awesome if TLC released a realistic 74 gun ship instead! :pir_laugh2:

The script for episode two has been written while sunning myself on a Spanish beach. Now that i'm back in England's green and pleasant land, filming shall begin shortly! Watch this space :pir-classic:

As i'm not yet famous nor rich enough to copyright the name, be my guest and go ahead! :pir-tongue:

Glad you like it and that Brickington already has someone named after him! :pir-wink:
