It looks a lot more serious than the one from the set. Nice.

Can I suggest that you add a tile to the sides of the caterpillar tracks somehow? Sticking it to Technic half pins stuck into the wheels might already do the trick. Right now those wheels look a bit out of place.

Cheers,

Ralph

You read my thought. That would be nice improvement.

The prime mover is the original 7633 one but I have totally striped it down and started all over again, but I'm missing some parts so I get those a.s.a.p. !

Note the ladder to gain access to the fuel drum, tool rack and chain cabinet.

The digger now also has a dozer blade on the front as well !

Comments welcome and I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Great work, lightlingtiger! The orginal 7633 excavator was cute, but maybe a little too cute for a construction site. Your additions definately made it more capable of some heavy lifting!

You know, the 7633 set was the first set I bought since coming out of my dark ages earlier this year. In fact, I loved it so much, I bought two! So now, I have a pair of those mini escavators. After seeing your adjustments, I'm tempted to mod mine!

Thanks 'awesomebrick' and 'ImLost' for your kind comments - again thank you. :sweet:

I hope I can inspire people to MOD their sets as others have imspired yours truly ! :sweet:

Once I'm finished with this truck/trailier/digger combo - it's back to buildings again - more shops and more work to be done to the medical centre.

Nice transport, lightningtiger. I like all things heavy transport. Keep on building them. :classic:

Do you need to have placards on the trailer in AUS when transporting a drum of fuel?

Thanks 'dr_spock' for your comments.

Yes when I get more sticker material I'll sticker the drum and trailier etc.,.

I did a quick bit of research and you only have to placard the truck (in Australia, specifically QLD) if it's more than 50L. I think, however an excavator would take more than 50L of diesel. I love what you've done to the truck and excavator though. They both look great!

Subtle design changes, but very smart decisions-- curious what you've done to the XXL crane in the 7633??

Thanks 'Mr Elijah Timms' for your comment, the crane - well let me think about that - might check out some local crane companies and come up with some thing !
