Lego_Hero Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 WOOT! First post ever! Has anyone posted how they'd rank the Series 1 minifigs? Before I do, I just wanted to give a little background. I'm mostly a minfig guy, with little time for actual building. I cringe everytime I drop cash for a big set just to get the minifigs. I also buy from Bricklink sometimes. I turn my minifigs into superheroes. While there are a few homages, most of them are MOCs. Counting heroes and villains, I'd say I have a little over 200, not counting 20 or so that are just sitting around as spare parts or a new persona waiting to happen. That being said, my motivation for these new minifigs is for use in my hero universe. These are ranked by preference. 1. Robot: This guy would be a perfect Golden Age hero! The big bonus is that there are so many unique parts. The helmet, face, torso, etc. could all be used to build other heroes/villains. By far the best bang for the buck IMO. 2. Cheerleader: Who doesn't want a cheerleader. It's just be cool to have. The hair and head are awesome. 3. Wrestler: The mask? Perfect for what I need. It comes with a cape! I'm curious about the legs. I can't make out the design on them, but I'm sure it's cool. 4. Caveman: This is a tough one. The body itself has limited use for me other than "Grog, Man from the Past". I don't have anything like the hair and beard, though, so that's nice. 5. Robin Hood: This is the first on my list that has been done before. I could probably make this guy myself with a trip to Bricklink (albeit much more expensively). I have three archer heroes, but one could easily change to fit this minifig. 6. Spaceman: One word: GUN! I've been waiting for a Buck Rogers gun from TLG for a long time. The short lightsaber bolt and the legs are all big pluses. 7. Skateboarder: The hair and torso are awesome. I already have a few ideas. 8. Indian: Also done before, but the pieces are also hard to get, so I could use another indian. 9. Nurse: Great face and hair. I like the torso too. 10. Cowboy: The hat is good if it's a different color from the Indiana Jones hat. The torso is cool, but the face is my favorite. 11. Crash Test Dummy: It's very unique, but I'm banging my head trying to figure out what to do with it. 12. Magician: Other than the head and the wand, I feel like I could make one of these already. 13. Ninja: Had it been a different color ninja (I know, they are supposed to be black) I would have jumped on it, but I have at least two of these guys. 14. Zombie: The torso looks like it might have some uses. The face is different, but close to that Harry Potter guy from a long time ago. 15. Diver: Until I get a good look at the torso, everybody has a bunch of TLG divers. I might change my mind if it looks like I can repurpose him. 16. Clown: As a unique minig, it's one of the best, but I don't have any use for this kind of clown. The natives from the original Pirates line make better scary masks for anti-heroes and villains. Well, that's just my take for my specific purposes. I'd like to see what everyone else is thinking. Quote

FinalFeature Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) 11. Crash Test Dummy: It's very unique, but I'm banging my head trying to figure out what to do with it.14. Zombie: The torso looks like it might have some uses. The face is different, but close to that Harry Potter guy from a long time ago. The crash test dummy could be used as a car tester, a movie prop minifigure or a mannequin. The zombie is the one i am looking forward to the most. He will be good for a apocalypse moc, comic con zombie walks or halloween houses. Even though the next one is series two the mime could be used for city street performances or have him with the Eiffel tower(If you own it.) Edited March 20, 2010 by LegoGalactus Quote

samurai-turtle Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 The crash test dummies strikes me as being a really clumsy not so super hero. You must of not seen the cartoon show staring these guys. I think it was called "Incredible Crash Test Dummies", but do not hold me to that. More to stay on topic, I am still not sure I want to get on board with collecting these figures. Quote
