FinalFeature Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 (edited) I created this about a week ago using 2x4 white bricks and 1 2x2 brick. I did not have enough tan so i used white pieces. The inside is not hollow so there is no interior. The picture shows how big it is to micro and regular minifigures. Comments and questions are welcomed. Edited March 19, 2010 by LegoGalactus Quote
petero Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Very nice, LegoGalactus. Don't worry about using white bricks. When the pyramids were built, they were sheathed with polished white limestone. Peter Quote
Sir Dillon Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Well, there's not a lot to say about it since it's just a simple stack of bricks at the moment. Have you considered incorporating it into a larger diorama? Quote

Also thanks for the info petero. Edited March 20, 2010 by LegoGalactus Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 While this is simple ABC building, a LEGO pyramid can definitely be used in a much larger diorama. I wanted to add a basic tan pyramid to my LEGO Desert Adventure display some time ago, but didn't have standard 2x4 bricks in tan: Larger Picture I settled for some ruins instead: This isn't my creation, but take a look at this one: It all starts with a basic pyramid. In fact, when I was a kid, I made a yellow pyramid exactly the same as what you've done here and used Classic Castle figs to create an Egytian Pharaoh army scene. Later, I added an opening in the pyramid for some extra detail and playability. -Lots of potential for a much larger and detailed creation. TIP: You can use the bandits from LEGO Indiana Jones set 7195 Ambush in Cairo for some minifigs. Quote
Milan Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 As a big fan of the Pyramids, I say it is nice, but it could be so much better if you could build it (much) bigger. That is the main power of the Pyramids-size. Quote
FinalFeature Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) I took the advice. I made a simple little micro scene and turned the pyramid from white to tan. Overview The two orange dots are my version of micro people. A micro ship A supposed ufo helping the Egyptians build the pyramid. Comments are appreciated. Edited March 20, 2010 by LegoGalactus Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Great baseplate - what set is that from? Quote
awesomebrick Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Great baseplate - what set is that from? I believe it's from the temple of the crystal skull set Quote
samurai-turtle Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 The two orange dots are my version of micro people. Those are some big monkeys. Are they related to King Kong? Quote
petero Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 I love the UFO working on the pyramid . You should balance that pyramid on a clear 2x2, so it looks like the UFO is setting the pyramid down in one piece. After all, if the aliens are that superhuman, they'd do it all in one piece, not in little blocks Peter Quote
FinalFeature Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 (edited) I believe it's from the temple of the crystal skull set Yup it is from the crystal skull set. Also thanks for the very nice comment guys. I appreciate it alot. Edited March 21, 2010 by LegoGalactus Quote
Hound Knight Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Very nice job on both MOCs, have you considered putting the gold "caps" on the top of the pyramids? Quote
ciano Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 What are the giant monkeys supposed to be? Alien beasts that assist in construction? Quote
FinalFeature Posted March 24, 2010 Author Posted March 24, 2010 What are the giant monkeys supposed to be? Alien beasts that assist in construction? They are monkey statues to ''guard the ancient treasure'' that lies inside the pyramid. To answer your question Hound Knight i did not think of it. Thanks for the suggestion but i doubt ill put gold caps on any of my pyramids. Quote
