Hound Knight Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 This is a great little set, plus it get bonus points for including my Sigfig head. Quote
1st Lieutenant Jed Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 That's one of the first reviews of a set that hasn't come out yet I've seen. The only other one is CopMike's review of the Collectible Minifig Astronaut. -Jed Quote
Svelte Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Thanks for the lovely review! This looks like a great little set. I agree it would have been better as a little proper set, rather than a promo. I'd trade this for that small catapult thing any day (yes, even with the gold cheese ). Quote
Stiel Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Any chance you can take a close-up picture of the other sets on the instructions (hopefully, in reasonable quality)? Quote
squidman85 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 What a great promo! As well as one with the knight. Quote
Jack Bricker Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Great review. I am really glad to not see any decals. Quote
fff Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Nice Review and nice set, possibly i would be asked to get a couple of battlepacks Quote
pedro Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Nice review metalandi, cheers! Wish I'd payed more attention to whent hat link was posted... I'm really looking forward to the new Castle line, love the look of these Dragon Knights - can't wait to have the new minifigs and accessories in my hands! Quote
KimT Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 The fig is awesome. This sure looks like we're getting a kick megablocks theme with the new Castle lineup. Thanks for sharing it with us. Though I think you've got a little ripped paying that much (I've done it very often myself though ) Quote
metalandi Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 Any chance you can take a close-up picture of the other sets on the instructions (hopefully, in reasonable quality)? I could, but i can tell you that these don't show anything that we haven't seen yet. Quote
Fluyt Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Seems like a nice little set, great minifig. But this set needs a shield, like many similar sets before this, it isn't complete without a shield. Quote
Stiel Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I could, but i can tell you that these don't show anything that we haven't seen yet. OK, thank you. Quote
Hun Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Any chance you can take a close-up picture of the other sets on the instructions (hopefully, in reasonable quality)? If you're the Stiel I think you are, you'll be able to see it for yourself next Saturday in Bp. - provided you bring a magnifying glass! Quote
Jack Bricker Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I have to say that I don't like that dragon symbol. I really liked the other one that they had at the toy show. I do hope that they will not all have that emblem. I am really happy though that the torsos and shields are printed and not decals. Quote
iamded Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Thanks metalandi for reviewing this awesome set for us! And what an awesome set it is. That minifig is so cool, I can't wait to get my hands on some of these Kingdoms sets. The little battering ram thing is a neat little build, but also a nice little parts pack. Thanks again, metalandi! ~Peace Quote

I don't remember seeing a different dragon symbol on the torsos. The shields have a different one, though. Also, it's pretty obvious the shields and torsos won't be stickers. Quote
Piranha Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Thank you for providing us with this great sneak peek review I find it very interesting that it came in a polybag, I wonder how this will be sold, LEGO store only? Or hung up in display in regular stores like creator ones? The helmet on the fig is quite nice, that polished black look, is stunning He has a dragon print on his torso, who is that certain member who loves dragons? Interesting set but mt favorite is still the court jester one Quote
CastleLord Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Eh metalandi it seems that the pictures are gone... CastleLord. Quote
SWMAN Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Very nice set. It looks like Lego's new castle theme is getting off to the right start. Simple, clean and concise. All good qualities of a small set. Too bad it doesn't include any of the new castle pieces they are releasing like the helmets and horse armor. Quote
metalandi Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 Eh metalandi it seems that the pictures are gone...CastleLord. That's weird, i also can't see them here anymore, but on my photobucket album they still are, and they also show up when i enter the direct link for them. Anybody else not seeing them here anymore? Maybe it's just photobucket messing around... Quote

So either pay up to go pro or move them to flickr or brickshelf. Quote
metalandi Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) I didn't know that since i don't use photobucket for too long, that sucks. Gotta put them on brickshelf then. Edit. Should work again soon (once the brickshelf folder is moderated) Edited March 20, 2010 by metalandi Quote
josykay Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) A very nice small set. But I am wondering, that you paid 9.50 for that promotion set. In Germany I was able to purchase 10! of them for just 1.99 € each set today. It is awesome. Isn´t it? So I finally got my Dragonknight-armybuilder for increasing the ranks. Btw: Where can I get that Lionknight-Crossbowman promotion set? It is not sold at Bricklink, Ebay or anywhere else. Edited October 12, 2010 by josykay Quote
