I've been buying a lot of legos from PAB lately, and I'm fine with prices, but first off I have to wait TEN days for the order to be processed, THEN it takes another 7-14 days for it to accually be shipped...

I wish there was a way that shipping could be a bit faster, like an express option for a few extra bucks to cut shipping time down to only a week, if not less.

I don't know where you live, so it may be different, but here in the USA, it varies when they process the order, but there is a next day shipping offer. I think there's regular, priority, and next day. I'm not sure what their names are, but there are 3 levels of shipping speed.

Keep this in mind regarding PAB orders. It is my understanding that the PAB elements come directly from Denmark. Therefore you have to be aware that if you are in the United States, shipping is going to take longer because the elements have to come from overseas. In addition, there is not any kind of express shipping option for DesignByMe or PAB orders. This is mainly due to the hand-picked/hand-packed nature of these orders.

Hope this helps.

This is something that bothers me when ordering sets too.. I ordered GG on sunday, and it still hasn't been sent.

Some weeks ago I ordered City Corner and some base plates, it was a monday and it got shipped on thursday. I've never experienced such a slow process with parts/sets that's in store.

But then again, I might be demanding - but when ordering whatever from the interweb, I've gotten used to my goods being shipped the next day :sweet:

I've heard that they actually come from Poland now, but I could be wrong.

Perhaps. My information is probably 6-12 months old. Either way, they're coming from overseas so shipping is going to be longer than your standard set that is stocked in the US distribution center. Thanks for the heads-up though. Always good to get an update. :classic:

I never mind waiting for an order, but what irritates the hell out of me is the bubble bags LSAH uses for their normal orders. Every large set I receive is crushed. I've complained, requested different carriers, even offered to pay for additional packaging. While LEGO is good at offering a discount to "make it right", I want a box that hasn't been crushed. I use to think it was UPS, my local carrier, but now I've come to realize that while UPS is rough with packages, it's the bubble bags that when pushed on, crush your boxes.

The result has reduced the number of SAH orders that I make, as I am reluctant to order larger sets now.

- sorry, I'm venting here.

still, ten days for processing an order seems like a bit much, which is my main problem...

Everyone's in a hurry.

I've had TLG orders that arrived in 3 days (with regular shipping) and at most, 6. The PaB portion has actually arrived no more than a week later thus far, but even if it took longer, it wouldn't be any worse than the typical BrickLink order, and it does come from Poland. Are any of us really buying something so vitally important than we can't wait a normal length of time to receive it?

The real issue is the horrible packing for US orders. I've watched it steadily decline over the past few years to the point that I stopped ordering and have only gradually been giving them another try. The results have been mixed and the responses are less helpful than they once were, but a S@H rep has admitted that they get a lot of complaints and are limited by management as to how much they can do in response. Further up the chain, I have heard frustration that the problem has been so thoroughly reported to those in charge, but changes haven't occurred.

Seriously, if you're going to waste effort trying to get anything fixed, let them take all the time they want, just demand proper packing so at least it arrives in good condition.

I totally agree Shadows. I have no problem with the speed of delivery (I've had them arrive in 3 days), but at the price they charge for shipping, they at least need to come unharmed.

If you're charging me 10 dollars for shipping, I don't want to see crushed boxes when they come. Sometimes it doesn't happen, but I almost never get a package from LEGO that at least one of the sets' boxes aren't dented a little.

Yeah, I agree entirely. I do not order online for these reasons. In fact, Bricklink is better for ordering many sets in mint condition if you are willing to pay more money. They take a day with each order once you pay, while TLG takes a lot longer.

I also have noticed other problems involved with shipping and boxing. Often instructions come with damage (I was very dissapointed that my Imperial Flagship had damaged instructions when I opened the box). The boxes aren't always in great condition either.
